Man I damn near lived at my local Tower Records. I would spend hours in there listening to, buying, reading and talking about music. Lost recipes....

I used to spend hours with my Dad at Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, Sam Goody etc just playing demos of video games and listening to track snippets of CD’s. He would just leave me in the video game/CD music area, do what he had to do, and I would be immersed in music and video games. Good times

I miss the days of hitting the store for an album

made it feel more special

**** was a full blown mission fr. Especially before i had a car.

I was a senior in hs when bp2 came out. Me and a couple friends cut school, copped and came back.

Showed it to my favorite teacher @ the time, who was kinda young and he was up on hiphop.

Me: *passes him the cd*

Him: “oh ok… Wait, didnt this come out today!?🤔

Me: 😬✌🏾

Good times…

Man this just took me down memory lane. Different times for sure. I remember hanging out in the video games/music section and my mom having to ask the KMart/Woolworth/Walmart employees to call my name on the intercom to let me know it was time to go home. That would happen damn near everytime we went somewhere. Shoot, I remember walking to school in elementary and middle school. Those were daily TREKS :lol. I can’t imagine a lot of that stuff would fly in 2025. I don’t see this happening whenever I go to one of those stores. And for good reason. Those were wild times.
