Was watching the Tower Records doc on Prime a few weeks ago and was surprised to hear Tower is still alive and well in Japan. The one in Shabuya has 8 floors! If I make it out there sometime that spot would def be on the list.

Man this just took me down memory lane. Different times for sure. I remember hanging out in the video games/music section and my mom having to ask the KMart/Woolworth/Walmart employees to call my name on the intercom to let me know it was time to go home. That would happen damn near everytime we went somewhere. Shoot, I remember walking to school in elementary and middle school. Those were daily TREKS . I can’t imagine a lot of that stuff would fly in 2025. I don’t see this happening whenever I go to one of those stores.

Bruh! Different times for sure! Being older and now being a parent I look back at a lot of things we did as children, before cell phones and air tag tracking, that definitely wouldnt fly at all today.


I was walking to and from school from 2nd to 5th grade just me and my homies, and like you said these were some treks! All of our parents were already gone for work by this time so we at the crib unsupervised then we would all head out together. This is before cell phones, so before I left out I would get my house phone, call my Dad’s pager and type in my birthday to let em know Im leaving. School day over, Id walk back home, and then page him again to let em know I made it back. I was like 7-8 years old man

There was other stuff that came out today that seems weird. Police didn't find any evidence of shooting at all, no shell casings... Until the victim himself brought the alleged shell casings in to Police (wtf?). I think he has a chance despite that testimony.
