Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

In this weirdo Bruce Jenner time mainstream media has damn near pushed men being feminine. Then it's certain rappers now that are going along with that. Young Thug, Uzi, Yacthy has dudes kissing on his album cover. If you gay be gay but that over the top stuff is BS. And I don't buy that these dudes are trolling. Why would any straight man feel comfortable wearing females clothes, calling men pet names and ****? You doing all that for internet? You love attention that much? Nah.
Love when people feel as if **** is being pushed. As if they don't represent a market. Where there's a market, there's money. It's as simple as that.

Until they flat out say they gay, they not. Clothing doesn't make people gay.

I mean when you got some fake trans dude receiving a award for his "courageous" it's definitely being pushed.

What is your definition of homosexual? That may be the issue here

A man f'n another man.

Now I don't know if those dudes are doing that but like I said I don't believe a straight man is doing all that **** just for attention. Just my opinion.

Of course it's not gonna be courageous to you when it doesn't impact  or affect you.

Don't know how in the same breath he can say straight men wouldn't do all this for attention and directly above that insinuate Bruce Jenner did this for attention.

People just be uncomfortable :lol

I believe that's the majority of the reason.

I thought Michael Sam showed some heart when he came out, even though Frank came out before his album he wasn't over the top with it.

Where did I say I thought Bruce Jenner was straight? Sit your fake feminist *** down. :lol

People would stop coming out publicly once the media stops acting like someone letting it be known that they're gay is a big deal. This Tyler **** shouldn't be news. Or surprising like I said before.

If this is your definition for being gay, why would choice of clothing be an issue?

I'm not here to sway your opinion cause that's who you are but that's silly.

Joe makes some horrible points sometimes and tries to cover it up by just yelling, but I kinda feel what he was saying this time.

Any man doing THIS in the 90s or even early 2000s would not be allowed to cook. Acceptance, tolerance, whatever you wanna call it, the world is more tolerant to that kinda **** now and so hip hop follows. Young Thug wore a dress on his album and nobody really gave a ****. Desensitized, and probably scared to lose money or face any backlash from gay folks or the PC police is probably moreso what it is, but regardless, all these dudes are now allowed to blur the lines and as a result I think it makes the culture way more accepting if a dude really did come out.

Dudes rocking purses, talking bout designers more than broads and even using dyeing their hair more than broads.......something is definitely up

A whole generation growing up around women since pops aint there, therefore gossip and other female traits are normal.

I smh reading some comments on nt....arguing bout fits and stanning for other grown men.

Dudes becoming the new broad

Meh, you could argue that men have always had some sort of infatuation with these things. Society has just made it a bit more of a comfortable climate for men to openly display all of this. Doesn't mean they are gay though.

After all, all this **** is is titles and associations at the end of the day. A piece of leather (purse) or fabric (designer clothing) has no bearing on one's sexual orientation anyway. All conditioning to begin with.

Again....

Andre 3000
Busta Rhymes
Cee-lo
Prince
Snoop with perms and nails done
Dj Quik with Auntie Hair
Camron with the pink
Etc

These dudes dressed wild jungle in the 90s/2000s. They got away with it because of their talent. Yeah, some people clowned them.....but overall....y'all aren't going hard saying these dudes are "ayo".

This topic comes up like once every few months :lol. Clothing don't make you gay man....

In 2017....we're still correlating clothes to sexuality?

:rollin

Same ***** that do that.....love to talk about how prince would take your bish in heels, mascera and a blouse.

Y'all not consistent.

Wavy tries and fails every time with those same pics.

I'm not saying because you wear questionable clothes you automatically gay. But when you see it everywhere and you flirt with that idea and make certain comments, there's a good chance you are gay. If Uzi came out tomorrow would it be accepted? Yes. Would you say you were surprised? No

WavyCrocket comparing people who made great bodies of work to kats that may ride the red line home with you with a hot summer mixtape he's been pushing since March

Def didn't fail. You admitted you "overlooked" how those dudes in the 90s dresses because those dudes were "talented" :lol.

Other than Thug.....none of those dudes are really saying or doing anything flagrant. They are just dressing like them eccentric dudes before them....and rapping (or mumbling) about ***** bushes :lol.

What does level of surprise matter? You got the karmo type dudes to the flagrant type dudes. If Andre or Busta came out when they were rocking skirts....would you be surprised? That ***** doesn't matter.

the thing is call the migos gay to their face

you're getting bombed on

these cats think what they do is 100% heterosexual

Yup.

If you made great bodies of work in the 90s....but dressed feminine = not suspect.

If you're a 2017 "rapper" that's melodic in 2017 and dress feminine = GAYYYYYYYYYYYY

:rollin
