Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Speaking of Migos....do people really believe Takeoff is the best one or is this a running joke that's going over my head ?

Because I'm taking Offset over all them dudes

I think it its moreso he get the least time to shine so ppl don't get tired of him.

Besides Commando and Fight Night, I've never rly heard a rly good hook from him.

I'll take Offset outta the three but besides Quavo watering down a lot of his verses they're basically all on the same level lyrically

Happy 1017 by the way

No they're not. Quavo be for real saying some stupid ****. Takeoff and Offset ain't Nas or anything but they are lyrically superior than Quavo

Which mixtape DJ's ad libs got yall more hyped when a fire song came on?

Clue's howl and Drama's Gangsta Grillzzzz were the ones for me.

I miss the days of grabbing the latest Clue or Kay Slay tape from my plug in the mall and looking to see who disses who this month. Used to have my Ford Contour with the 2 12s in the trunk quaking! Lol

BX and Harlem had the best DJ's

Ron G
Kid Capri
Doo Wop

I remember when Clue, Envy, Kay Slay and Whoo Kid were wack. They survived off exclusives. Kay Slay was awful. That was his hustle. He was in to graffiti first.

I really wanna hear what you guys are hearing if Takeoff is the best because I don't see it. (Agreed with him and Offset >>> Quavo though)

I like Quavo, the solo act ain't it for him though. He's the hook/catch phrase/good feature guy.

Get takeoff a proper curator to oversee the record and some non migos beats and I bet he surprises you.

I still think Kay Slay wasn't that great and his sound quality was trash. Like you said, he used to get exclusives though

I remember Kay Slay for his arguments more than anything else. Streetsweeper projects were the only thing I ever bumped from him. Although when ever he got with the LOX he would knock **** out the park

The South got the most innovative flows and lack of damns given about hip hop tradition.

From HB era Juvie to Andre to 06-08 Wayne to 12-13 Migos to Thug...

we gonna reinvent everytime.

Don’t sneak Thug in there like you doing charity. He’s trash and ain’t bringing anything new at all
