How do you know any of this?

Better yet, why do you care?

I don’t know if that’s true, it could be. Al B definitely wrote some songs but I also remember Jodeci saying they brought pretty much all those songs from the debut and they were demos given to the record label. Jodeci could be lying tho

Dudes take vows all the time to be with a chick forever and it don’t always work out that way.

_ get divorced every day B.

As for the son, I can’t call it. Not sure about the story so won’t comment. That was strictly about Al and Kim (and Jodeci).

Al B. Sure Addresses His Son's Open Letter

Al B. Sure opens up about his son's deadbeat-dad accusations exclusively to ESSENCE.com. Find out what the 80's R&B sensation says about family business.

ESSENCE.COM Dec, 16, 2009

Living in the spotlight is never easy, especially when your private family matters become fodder for the blogosphere. For 80’s R&B sensation turned radio personality Albert “Al B Sure” Brown, enduring public criticism from his son, Quincy “IQ” Brown (whom he fathered with former model Kim Porter, the mother of three of Diddy’s children), is pretty hard to swallow.

“I’m a human being so of course hearing about any family member being disappointed with you is devastating, but what can you do? I’m a human being and my job is to fix it,” Al B. Sure tells ESSENCE.com exclusively. “I will not engage in a private family matter with the public, but I will say that Quincy is the most wonderful, kind young man in the world, and whatever he and I are going through we are going to work it out and that’s all that counts.”

About a month ago, Quincy posted an open letter to his father on Russell Simmons’s GlobalGrind.com accusing him of being an absentee father:

“Albert Brown, also known as “Al B. Sure!” is my biological father, but Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy,” has been a father figure in my life for as long as I can remember. Sean Combs is the person whom I look up to and appreciate as a father. He is the one who helped mold me into the person I am today and I will always try to live up to his expectations. He has always been supportive of me and I will forever love and respect him. As far as my biological father goes, the ‘spitting image’ is all I have taken from him. Throughout my life, I’ve always wondered about him: Where he was? What was he doing? and most importantly, Was he even thinking about me? The absence of my father has given me a better understanding of what type of man I am going to be. I am grateful for my mom’s love, support, guidance, and for her strength.”

Al B. Sure is set to drop his new album, “Honey, I’m Home,” (Hidden Beach Recordings) on Tuesday, June 23.

Stay is a classic, I play Jodeci so damn much. “U & I” is one of my favorites.

SOOOO HEEERRREEEE WEEEE AAARREEE
JUST ME AND YOOOOHHHH
WE’RE THINKING OF THE THAAAANNGGGSS
THAT WE USED TO DOOOOOOO

Guess Al B did write it. I guess I misremembered. I know Jodeci said they had most of that album done and performed it in the label offices. Maybe that song wasn’t one of them.

I seen Al B on Drag-On’s IG last week. **** was random as ****

I like “Forever My Lady”. But THIS **** RIGHT HERE....

When Jojo hits that “ohhhhhhhhhhh oh” at 3:32

And this is what kills me about R&B today. Most R&B today doesn’t have the singer just going off like they did back in the day. Towards the end of the song, you always had the lead singer singing for real. Today they don’t do that cause most can’t or the song needs to get over quick

For some reason this reminded me of this joint. Aaron sounds like he basically Ad-libs everything after 3:00. So basically 40% of the song.

But my favorite **** is 3:39 and on....

Classic ****, Aaron Hall always did that. Tony from Hi Five going off at the end of Quality Time and I Like the Way. Money from Mint Condition going off at the end of You Send Me Swangin
“THIIIIISSS FEEELLLIIINNNGGG, ISSSSS THE ONNNNEE THIIINNNGG. MYY HEAARRRTTTT IIISSSS SHOOO OFFFFF SOOOO IIIIIIIIIII”

I’m telling y’all, me and my wife have so much fun singing along to these songs. You just feel good, you feel love, you feel passion.

Me and her was just listening to U & I by Jodeci. They’re ****in singing on all over that song. Pure talent, I love that ****
