Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

Felt like most say 1 is better, it's tough as hell but I lean towards one just cause it was first but both songs are classic. I played both them ****s at my wedding, 1 and then 2 right after.

I was always hearing 2 being played. Even with flashback sessions on the radio, I still hear 2 over 1.

Yeah. Same with Confessions. One was pushed more than the other. It took me years to find out there were multiple parts for both songs.

All these famous artists denouncing R Kelly on social media just don’t feel genuine

There's an uncomfortable discussion to be had around all of the entertainers who stood next to R. Kelly despite what was known about him at the time. You gotta remember...the Aaliyah thing happened EARLY in the ball game...and this was not just "rumors"...all these people knew something was off there. Yet, he still managed to become the King of R&B during this time.

It really is deeper than R. Kelly. Deeper than Kevin Spacey. There's a veil being lifted about the culture of the business in general. Everyone is in on it until it's exposed.

Definitely. Him marrying an underage Aaliyah was common knowledge, those sex tapes we all saw were very real. Even after that NEYO started a tour with him, so why wait until today for this

Tank on his Instagram. Last week Tank was confirming r Kelly as the king of r&b

Smh, Tank was just saying a couple weeks ago that R Kelly was still the king even after all that he’s been through

I do like what Tank said on IG, I respect that more than what Chance, John Legend and NeYo have said.
