Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

You didn't explain ****.

You came in here bragging about how you were going to still listen to R Kelly and it didn't change his songs for you. As if it was something to be proud of. Some weirdo ****. Then comparing it to homosexuality. @Hahahaha I completely understood his stance. You?

Congrats you like to hear about a mans conquest of young girls. Good for you champ. There's that cookie you so desperately wanted.
Stop lying. Why you so mad?

I definitely had to explain it to you and you still cant comprehend it going by this post.

So remedial.

Plus you a hypocrite anyway.

Dudes started talking about Jay-Z's suspect pedo ways and your first reply is what about Nas? If it aint that you trying to change ages like dude that changed Aaliyah's age on those marriage papers.

Clown.

You not serious so stop pretending you are.

I didn’t get that from his posts at all.
Dude is reaching hard.

Dont want to acknowledge simple logic.

He the only one that cant help himself from thinking about little girls like R. Kelly when Ignition comes on.

No, other people have said the said the same thing. It's just that in your head you can't comprehend it.

Do you have a daughter(s)?

You said dude making songs about underage children and abortions is the same thing as an artist being gay and I misunderstood that?

And I mentioned Jay and Dame in the other thread and I looked at them sideways about R Kelly.

And I'm not going to gossip about Jay and Foxy when absolutely nothing has linked them together. And if Foxy were 15 when she worked with Jay, that would mean she was 16 when she worked with Nas. That's why I said that for @nawghtyhare , because of his obsession. Talk about reaching and deflecting from a topic.

So is there a hashtag or a boycott CTG and Drake movement yet?
Ain't no Drake fans bout to "cancel" him. :lol

Alec Baldwin's daughter said it out her mouth he was giving her gifts since she was 14 and started dating in public when she turned 18.

Can someone explain to me what having a daughter has to do with listening to R. Kelly’s music?

Miss me wit the disrespect though, I’m legit trying to grasp the logic.

Do you have a daughter got me dying :lol: why people always do that?

That gay artist thing is facts though, I been asked more than once by people "how you still listen to Frank Ocean? I always think about him with a dude when I hear his music..."

I'm like ***** WHAT

People typically don't care about issues unless it can affect them directly. A person having a daughter is more likely to care about a rapist being prosecuted than a person without one, generally speaking.

I'm not selling anything, I'm just explaining my take on why people use the daughter excuse.

I understand. I just don’t agree.

I have a daughter. Before she was born, it was **** all rapists. After she was born, it’s still **** all rapists.

It didn’t take her being born to understand that rape is disgusting.

I just see a lot of, “how can you continue to listen to his music when you have a daughter?”

This has been interesting to me. It shouldn’t take having a daughter to empathize with the victims plights. You should be able to empathize as a human being watching another human being having their lives impacted in such a way that’s scaring them for life. Sure, the amount of empathy you may have may differ if you have a child, but that shouldn’t be a qualifier.

That's the way it should be. With or without being able to personally attach yourself to the tragedy, it should be a tragedy by itself.
That whole way of thinking is more of a selfish way of processing an event. Like you only care because it could happen to your daughter/wife/mother/sister/etc

With that being said, it could help certain people understand a situation better and start the process of them empathizing with people who suffer disgusting tragedies but it's sad that you'd need to connect yourself to a person in order to feel for them

IMO some can separate the artist from the real person and listen to their music. That's fine. Do you. I don't think you support pedophilia if you listen to R. Kelly. That's a pretty big claim.

Like is anyone going to stop listening to Jay Z for essentially supporting and running with R. Kelly and lusting after 16 year old Beyonce? No they're not, and that's okay.

But you should be able to see why people wouldn't want to listen to someone like R. Kelly now. Like, you should be able to understand that. So with that, it becomes pretty disrespectful to publicly announce and borderline brag how you're still going to listen to his music.

Word. But, as I’m realizing more and more lately, things aren’t always as they should be.

Most in the black community don't know what rape is, though. That's partly why it's hard for the black community to let R. Kelly go. For a ton of people, he didn't do anything inherently wrong.

In the black community, it's completely normal to sexualize young black girls, completely normal for them to be preyed upon by older men, and most of the times we pit the blame on the young black women for being too fast, dressing a sort of way, etc. so they kind of get what they deserve when they have sex with an older man to a lot black people, hence the phrase "She knew what she was doing"

So if she knew what she was doing then it can't be rape. Black people still don't actualize realize that you don't have to have your life threatened for it to be rape.

I don’t know man

Seems Like Your Ready
Downlow
Your Body’s Calling
I’m a Flirt
Feeling on Your Booty
Sex in the Kitchen
Stroke You Up

These aren’t things I want a pedophile singing about. I don’t want to hear a pedophile sing to begin with but that’s not that point. What 15 year old girl did he just get down with after he wrote these songs? Yeah I’m good. There’s plenty of good music out there. And again, this is about R Kelly. F him.
