Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

I shut it off, Cass wordplay is crazy but his **** wasn't hitting hard. Goodz theatrics don't match his bars, he be saying a lot of trash. I'd give them both the L before I gave either a W.

The rappers little catch phrases the crowd does with them is always corny too.

I started back following battles earlier this year, fell back off of it 'cause got so tired of bias crowds hypin' up they favorite guy.
Also the usual dude in the crowd "OMG, THAT WAS FIYAH" made my stomach hurt

Bruh was tryna rock a pelle pelle/hoody/timbs in atlanta.

Fam. This is a fact.

I remember the exact jacket I wanted.

To a 15 year old me, you couldn’t get any fresher than that joint with the size 36 jeans and a black pair of timbs.

Times were nasty, man.

I never got the Buck love, he was cool but he was always my least favorite. He sounded out of place compared to the rest. I don't count Game or Kidd Kidd.

Cashville and Buck The World is the best 2 run on G-Unit.

Buck brought a energy the rest of 'em ain't have and over time he was the only one that consistently brought it.

I agree with you on this.

Goodz was just targeting him personally as a has been. Not really good bars though.

Battle rap of today seems less organic. I hate the team up ****. The running entire bars back. The crowd/stage etc. It’s not my thing.

That said...I’m def going to watch the cass be goodz and Ness/ Millz joint.

Who will have the Ness/Millz link?

I just noticed it's this weekend.

Ready for that Dipset Anthem video shoot

I remember I went to NY for the first time in December 02 and them loud bright colored leather coats was everywhere. Down here we just rocked a Eddie Bauer or Northface and you was straight.

When dude brought out Clips father during a battle and when Daylyt showed up dressed as Vegeta I was pretty much done with battle rap

The crip cats out in Macon, GA got tight at that track and told Gucci it would be bad if he came to do a show out there. ****** said “stay home... stay home...” Gucci showed up and did the song not once, but twice.

It’s great to see his evolution into the new Gucci, imo. I can’t knock another black man for wanting to grow and do better for himself.

... ol’ Wop was lit though.
