It's a changing society. Just like how businesses have different dress codes. Twenty years ago you had to wear ties, then it went to business casual and now the trend is going towards completely casual.
Churches don't want to exclude people, because they don't have a suit or dress clothes.

Don’t have a boujie attitude, but live filthy or not dress to fit the part. Period. You need to be in church in suits and hard bottoms. Period. That’s my opinion.
If I go to a church and see the pastor, deacons, and usher board dressed in tee shirts, Nike’s or adidas. I’m leaving. Suits and skeeters only.

growing up in a southern Baptist family I know church is a big fashion show
but I don't rock with that, no one should avoid church if that's what they want to do because they can't get dipped (which a lot of people do). It's contradictory to everything worshiping is supposed to be about
