they've come a long way but then they overcorrect and start placating mediocrity
awards shows are just an outdated system their only value is the "watercooler" effect they still have, which has also fallen off because stars are far less interesting and more accessible year round

The Recording Academy and CBS know this as well, so they just put a bunch of live performances and give out some awards in-between.

Tiny Desk is kind of like the old MTV Unplugged series just on a much smaller scale and some electronics depending on the performer.

The real root issue here is structured white acceptance because if Joe, Charlamagne, Jenks, Scottie, ROb Markman, etc. & all the personalities like that announced an award show type thing tomorrow ****** wouldn’t look at that as “qualified” opinions yet the Grammys get a reaction out of you goofy ****** every year

The culture is so malleable right now we could have been created some new **** that would have stuck anytime after 2016. ****** have spent close to a decade complaining about how white people follow our lead culturally but must only feel like that on the tweets and not in real life.
