The resurgence of them being the "Instyle" shoe was definitely set force by Rocky. He ushered in that blasphemous style of Dirty AF1 & Mids that are littered through festivals. AF1 never went any where but there was a period where they weren't the hot in demand shoe, getting crazy overpriced colorways.

The crazy part is Rocky is on record saying that he did that mid AF1 **** just because he knew people wasn't ******* wit em & he wanted to test his influence.... sure enough all it took was a couple of months
