Why would banning all guns be stupid?

Whats the purpose of weapons such as guns in today's society? With an average person.

Sure criminals will still find ways to get guns because nothing is absolute, but implementing a stiff penalty for the simple possession of such a weapon is imo a great start to get our country in a more civilized state.

Why shouldn't I be able to own a gun? Or be able to hunt to put food on the table?

Why ban entirely because .01% chose to use to kill mass amounts of people?

Other than the video that was filmed from the car, has there been any other videos posted online of the shooting?

I'm sure news outlets will be posting CCTV footage in the next few days.

They posted one that a neighbor took when the police stormed in. All you hear is dozens if not hundreds of shots in rapid succession.

its crazy to me that people can own assault rifles.....whenever i see pictures of regular people online showing off certain types of guns Its crazy to me.

But some of the ingredients it takes to make an effective bomb aren't as attainable as some of these high powered rifles. Let's make it difficult to get guns and worry about nunchuks and pressure cookers later.

Not if you raise the stakes on the penalty of getting caught with one without papers. Again, you can keep your guns, but let's not give them away like a sale at Walmart. I mean we are required to drive cars with a valid license, you think the penalty laws of driving without a license isn't stopping it.

You can't completely get rid of criminal behavior, but it's a start.

Final paper for a behavioral psychology class. Researched based paper looking at teen depression, antisocialism, attention seeking behaviors, and links to Suicide, self harm, etc. sad, but social media literally self documents all these cases from an hourly (in some cases) first person perspective.
