Mexico. It ain’t perfect, but it ain’t here. Close enough where we can get back to see family quickly and affordably. The U.S. dollar goes mad far. Good weather and good people.

And yeah, there’s racism there, too. But whenever I’ve been there I felt a freedom that I’ve never felt here besides when I was a kid and knew no better. It’s hard to explain, but I’d imagine it’s how white folks feel 100% of the time in the U.S. minus the superiority complex some carry.

It felt good to just exist there without having to look over my shoulder b/c of my skin color. I can’t remember the last time I was able to do that here.
