People want an end to the unrest but in the same guise want to continue to ignore the conditions which lead to the unrest and these flashpoints in the first place

We'll continue going in circles/cycles until those material conditions finally get addressed and improved once and for all. When they stay the same as they have for generations, unrest will always be inevitable

Inequality, of any kind, will never be conducive to sustaining any sort of long lasting peace. Human history has shown us that time and time again. Any sort of 'peace' that happens in times of extreme inequality will always be artificial and fragile/untenable as there will always be serious tension bubbling up under the surface waiting for a matchbox to reignite things
