my 3 mercer pants from the restock last week just came in today (the plain joints, black, camo, and khaki, no harry potter lightening bolts, lol)...
33 fits great. i coulda went down to 32, but i heard the smaller the waist the smaller the leg, and i wouldn't want that.
so i can confirm, everyone should be able to go down 1 or 2 sizes in mercers. if you have built legs, you should only go down 1, or stick to your normal size and just wear a belt or get the waist taken in by a tailor.
i love 'em tho, the cuff does in fact stay tight on the ankle, and you can still pull them up your shin more. they're also a lil longer than the publish ones, so they stack a bit.
i prolly won't mess with publish anymore, the cuffs aren't tight enough, but i do wanna try zanerobe. i just heard the cuff's tightness and sizing on zanerobes are inconsistent.
first...was there an ONLINE restock of old mercers last week?! from which "label?" the blue label? or a mixture of the 1st white label and blue label (since you mentioned camo)?
second...glad to hear the size 33 worked out for you.
my publish joggers came in earlier this week, and i'm a fan so far (only tried on the pair of "off white" from the latest drop), and hopefully the "slate" colored pair from the previous drop will fit just as well (both in size 34). tho i gotta say, the color on the website for the "off white" is a bit deceiving, as it's much more "yellow" in color in real life than it appears online (which practically appears just "white"). they're a bit long on me as well (again, i'm short), so the cuff actually goes all the way down to the bottom of my ankle, which is fine, because i'm not tryin' to hike it up to my calves anyways, just really wanted something to mix-it-up in between my jeans and mercers...
my interest is now piqued in possibly tryin' out a pair of zanerobes, haha...lookin' at the sureshot style in maybe the "khaki green" or "jade" colors...although these look slightly even longer in length than the publish joggers...
