Idk bout DC but you can get a spot for 700-900 easily in the ATL metro , just pull up any housing appWhere are the listings for these apartments for 1100 in DC and 800 in Atlanta ?
for that kind of money in the dmv, I know you living somewhere crappyI've got a room mate now; I've had my own spot before
It basically comes down to the finances
Keep a room mate; pay $500 a month, share a bathroom etc
Own spot; $1170 a month, great view, dope apartment, washer dryer, brand new apartment.
What would you do?
Located in DC by the way

I've lived alone for a little over a year, and with roommates (currently with a couple). If you are young and don't have a fiance/girlfriend/wife, then go with a roommate, its cool to have someone to chill with sometimes. Also teaches you how to confront people and handle bad situations if they ever turn up. Living alone can get really lonely too, with a roomate you both can watch some random as.s movie or tv shows. Might introduce you to new things.
If you are with wifey then nah, nothing better than having the place to yourselves at all times.
Like I said, its somewhere crappy. DMV one of the most expensive places on the east coastIt's not the best place in the world, but it definitely ain't the worst
Do you have a decent amount in savings and have you budgeted for the increased rent? If so and you're just tired of living with someone, go for it.
As a single 25 year old, how much is a decent amount?
