Ahhh! How do the new Lunar soles feel compared to the older ones?

They really look like Roshe soles on steroids! lol

I'm worried about NDA haha.

Let's just say that for speedsters such as yourself, this'll be more for your LSD runs (if you're into that).

I am also very curious about the Epic.  Not that I'm looking for a new shoe, but it's always interesting to see the different technologies.  I finally tried on the Free Distance - very light, but I like my LunarTempos better.

Lol! Gotcha.

I'm somewhat interested in these... The colorways aren't appealing to me though.

Yeah I think I'll skip the LG8s unless I can get it for cheap. I like those new Hokas too. The Claytons and Tracers can be pre-ordered over at RW in case you're not aware yet. I'll probably wait for better colorways of the Claytons come April (if any).

I just bought a cheap pair of vomero7s just to try out some cushy zoom air for a while, since I realized I've been strictly on lunar and a couple hokas since 2009. Apparently solereview thinks they're about the worst of the series, but I'm having good luck with them so far. Except they are knocking on 12oz, which is slightly heavier than my lg2s.

In other news, I fell today and might not be running for a few days, so here's everyone's chance to beat my mileage.... Nike+ name = phreak

Nice! Both those and the Road Rockets are prospects.

I'm still trying to stock up on the Clifton1s, but not too many have been listed on eBay. I'm really looking for the Light Blue/Volt and Red/Black cws. 8o

Awww man! Get well soon, Tim! You've been killing it in 2016!

I can't decide on which shoe I'll be running in for March :{

- Hoka Clifton 1 - Blue
- Flyknit Chukka - Blue Glow / Volt
- Vom10 - Blue Lagoon

NDC is highlighting the 30-day return policy on their marketing of the lunar epic. Anyone taking them up on it? The hype on these reminds me of the hyperfeel, which ended up in clearance stores for like $40

I have to admit I'm curious about the LunarEpic.  I wonder how it affects socks, or are you supposed to go sockless?

@ILLustRAYt - do you find that the GLONASS setting is draining your battery faster?

No, you can wear socks with them. I would wear the quarter socks though. It matches enough height to the shoe. I feel like if you wear a crew-high sock, it does extra compression that you don't necessarily want above the ankle collar. At least that's how I feel when I've worn the Free Mercurial Superfly and Footscape Magistas.

I usually wear the low socks with the tab, and I feel like the collar will swallow those up.

18 miles took about 50% of my battery yesterday, but since I've never run that before, I don't know if that's normal.

Flew to Arizona Friday night so I can run the Scottsdale Giant Race 9K Saturday morning. Then flew back to the Bay Saturday night for The Race to the Row 408K in San Jose. Busy weekend but more than worth it.

Hmmm... I'll go an LSD this weekend to evaluate the battery life...

I was in Tennessee and Kentucky from Saturday to Monday. It only ate up ~40% over the three days. However, I only had two short treadmill runs. I brought my charge cradle along with me, but I didn't need to charge it at all.

Here's one of the runs.

I haven't run on a treadmill in years! This 4-miler is honestly my PR in distance on one. I started my run at level 8.5 and brought it up to 9.1. These levels had me curious about their conversion to pace in miles. After looking at this chart, I think my VA was pretty accurate.

I thought I got my UA G2 for the tech, but the shoe is such a joy to run in that I've forgotten the built in tech.

Mid-sole is very responsive with good cushioning.

Toes splaying happily inside the minimally structured yet supportive upper helped by the burrito-type tongue.

Heels are locked in quite well.

Connection with my iPhone and UA app is set up and everything, some tinkering is required and might be a bit clunky to set up for those not so techy.

Anyways, I'm happy to have it as part of my training rotation.

My fellow NT runners, a pact was made with myself to incorporate a consistent running regimen. Whats the application process for joining gentlemen?

Awesome! When will you start training?

Always in training ;)
I did Chicago and NY back to back last year. I swore to myself to not hibernate and lose fitness over the winter months.
Maintaining/base-building since coming back from NY
