In the scene hes interviewing the axe lady: she asks for water, then his partner puts a full glass of water on the table, but when she goes to drink it, i noticed glass isnt in her hand, then when she puts the glass down and its still full..did anyone else see this? I watched it twice and noticed it both times.....made me feel like i was crazy

R5 has the video quality of a dvdrip, but the audio is from the theatre (cam)

Side note, I still think he was crazy.

Yeah the audio is bad. And it has a frog ribbet over it at random points

It was a good movie but somewhat predictable imo. All the flashbacks within the movie were a dead give away that Teddy/Andrew was probably a patient.

I just finished watching Shutter Island and I thought the movie was amazing.
It really kept me thinking.

It definitely takes you in. Leonardo DiCaprio was great....

spoiler:::::::.....

So he only killed his wife right? Because she killed the kids? and then he blocked out the memory with the US Marshall fantasy? Although he actually was a US Marshal before the incident. Is that right?

if he was in fact crazy then that's the gist of it. wife kills kids, he kills wife, then develops a whole new scenario in his mind so he doesn't have to deal with what really happened....as far as the movie goes.

I just saw the movie couple days ago.. thought the movie was alright. At first it really had me into it like how is this guy gonna survive through this ??(suspicious partner, everyone on the island against him, etc.) but then when it came to the part with the lighthouse and the movie flipped it around it kind of made me "mad" I guess. The 2 hours went by FAST

I've seen it twice and it was a good movie

I think, he blames himself for not getting her help, that's why he went crazy and made up a story that made him the hero in his own world because he wasn't able to save his daughter.

THE ENDING WASNT AS GREAT AS THE DEPARTED...BUT YEA ALL THE HINTS WERE THERE THAT HE WAS KOO KOO ...

This is better. The Departed is crap and does not do justice to the original HK movie Infernal Affairs.

Movie was cool not really what I was expecting.
And no it wasn’t better than the departed
Jus because the ending “made you think

I feel like I seen a movie like Shutter Island with the ending it had. Didn't seem too original but Leo is always good in his movies.

Casino > Goodfellas > Shutter Island > Aviator > The Departed

I just hate The Departed. I don't get why people thought it was a good movie aside from some of the acting. I didn't think it was suspenseful at all.

This is what makes me like the movie so much. Just great acting from the majority of the cast.

I'll agree the story isn't amazing, but it is fairly good.

^^^^^Yeah...that is why I like Aviator over the Departed. Leo did a good job playing Howard Hughes. I don't think the story was riveting at all but the acting was good and I personally like genre films a lot. That is why I will always think Casino is the best movie that Scorsce put out in the later of his career (I haven't seen a lot of his earlier films so I can't really judge from there). It was just a great story on a different perspective of Vegas. Add in the mobster antics, great acting by Sharon Stone, Pesci and De Niro and you have one hell of a film.

I just watched it tonight and while the ending was fairly predictable it was still a very good movie. I don't think it can really be compared to a movie like The Departed though.

I just got done watching it, and wow. Great movie. I lost the twists within the plot. It makes you wonder which is the actual "truth". One of the best movies I've watched this year.
