School me on different nike accounts

Can someone explain to me how a sneaker account works? Do the companies just give the sneakers to stores and recieve some of the profit or does the store buythem from the company?

stores which have accounts, order the shoes from the main company in this case NIKE. So this little store may order what they are allowed to order according totheir account. The store can pay for them now or pay for them later when they have the money. Nike doesn't give you anything. The store buys at about cost(usually half of the market price) for the most part and sells it for double. so in some cases, stores may make more profit and at times, almost none at all.just wanted regurgitate what i learned from this thread and from retail experience. correct me if there is anything wrong. this is a learning ground.

Location. Location. Location.

Also Tier-45, don't really know if these truly exist, are accounts that can get select Tier-Zero Products 45 days after the sneaker releases at a Tier-Zeroaccount.

There is also an Urban Tier-Zero which is where the Bobbito's went (urban TZs and 1Doors).

That used to be the case for a long time, but there are now almost three times as many tier 0 accounts spanning the globe.

Here is an incomplete list off the top of my head, correct me if I'm wrong:

HUF
Patta
Atmos
Bodega
GDFT
Apartment
ARC
Overkill
DQM
Provider
Colette
UNDFTD
NORT Berlin
NORT/Recon
Slam Jam
Real Mad Hectic
Firmament

SP1 in Sydney used to have one but lost it. Also, I've heard conflicting reports as to whether or not The Darkside Initiative in SF managed to keep theTier 0 account they had when the location housed NORT/Recon...

don't forget about the sterling credit Nike likes to see too.

Maze: There IS such a thing as a T45... however I don't think the 45 days later definition no longer applies. And 604, yes Darkside is still TZ.

IF someone knows offhand who holds down the top spots in chicago,
I know the locations, just sparked some interest in this??

yea i'd like to kno the criteria necessary to receive a specific account as well...i kno there are some nike employees up here that got that info...btwgood looks on all the info already stated...i was wondering the same thing...was also thinking bout opening a sneaker spot in the not too distant future

Its not the money....its the plan. You can have all of the money in the world and still not get one if you don't have a good business plan.

Nice Stuff...I really need to learn more.
Also, it sounds Nike is really uptight about their Accounts and Policies to uphold one.
