SEATTLE SEAHAWKS THREAD

RIP to D'Mill. I don't know the details about what happened, but my brother actually hit him up and we were about to go to munch and celebrate the win lastnight :{. This really shook my soul cause we would have been in there hanging with him. I woke up to this and had to hug my daughters alittle more than usual today.
To all the homies here on the site, keep it 100 with yourself and realize that you got treat every moment like it could be your last. No matter what the situation was, it didn't have to come to that. Yall just got to walk away I've have lost too many homies over nothing. Who cares if you get "punked" you walk away from it. My man didn't deserve to get gunned down like that. Not on Christmas eve |I

Had a couple random people on my FB timeline give shout outs. Was trying to figure out who it was. Very sad.

Sorry for your loss Law :(

So terrible feel like I can't be safe anywhere anymore. I'm just glad more people didn't get hurt my brother and my cousins almost ended up going there too :{

Anyways, about the playoff scenario I think I'd much rather play Dallas at this point. ******** are on fire. We match up well against either though.

Really?

And :{ at the Munchbar. I'm just looking for scapegoat basically because they can't be fully to blame at all, but I feel like ever since that place opened, Bellevue has been bad news. From personal experience (my own doing) and by other peoples accounts.

I'm okay with Munch. Never had a bad time there. The main problem with Munch are the promoters, whose only network stems from their days working Seattle (and suburban) clubs. They brought a lot of that trash to Bellevue.

These young dudes is reckless out here

I feel lost in all this. I read some of the local stations' articles (no twitter/fb either), but it doesn't give me a name. Who was D Will?

D.Mill

Deshawn Milliken, I knew him through football when he was at Garfield and growing up in the CD.

Ahh, man. Sorry Pabs. R.I.P to him. Such nonsense.

Everyday, man. Everyday it seems like something bad is happening. :{

I just hit up my roommate. His brother is a cop for Redmond PD and I guess they called them in to help out. He said 75% of the people there were guests. Their newest promoter is a guy from Tacoma he says. Brought in most the crowd.

Suspected shooter was part of the group of worthless trash that killed the Tuba Man. Good job justice system letting killers back on the streets so they can kill again.

http://blogs.seattletimes.com/today/2012/12/suspect-in-fatal-bellevue-bar-shooting-identified/

And he's 19, which means Munchbar is screwed (they've been dinged for underage patrons many times).

Wooooooow. What a horrible situation all around. :{ :{ :{

Does anyone know yet if Deshawn was targetted or was he in the wrong place at the wrong time? Really sucks either way though.
I remember dude from school aswell.

Thank god you and your brother weren't out there last night Loyan.

SMH. R.I.P.

I was at Munchbar Saturday night. My third time there ever - it never seemed to me like the place where that sort of thing could happen, but what do I know.

I've only ever been on Thursday nights, and those are a very "Bellevue crowd", for lack of a better term. I did go on a Saturday last spring, and it seemed like it wasn't too rowdy. I guess like someone said, they've been bringing in a different crowd lately. I know they're opening a second club in Seattle soon. We'll see how that goes.

That Kam hit just reminds me of the Ken Hamlin hit on Stallworth. Still the best photo ever.

Okay, legitimate question here: there's buzz in the national media about how SF had to play in Foxboro last week, then played in Seattle this week. Back-to-back Sunday night games. And they're saying that took a toll. But the first meeting between the Seahawks and Niners came 4 days after the Seahawks gave everything they had to stop the Patriots (at home), and were basically gassed on the road against the Niners. And that game was still 13-6 and they had chances to win. So we don't take that into consideration?

Also, taking a glance at the Niners thread, they're calling out the refs in what was essentially a 36-point loss (the TD was irrelevant). What's up with that?

Hamlin would be suspended if that happened today :lol :{

I've tried my best this season not to get ahead of myself, but man something about whats happening feels special. Who would have thought we be in the position we're in right now? We have a legitimate QB in Wilson, one of the best RB in the game, playmaking receivers, and damn the best defense in the league.

Agreed on Hamlin lol

As for this team, I'm not gonna lie, I've never been a big fan of the Seahawks. Even during the SB year, I wasn't as "moved" as I am right now. I thought they got by on a decent defense and an incredible offensive line (Walter and Hutch, basically). But this year is just different. They have an identity. The play makers on defense are unbelievable (absolutely the best secondary in the NFL), and the offense feeds off it. Also, the receivers have all bought in. They trust Russell Wilson, they fight for every ball, and they catch damn near everything thrown their way. That SB year, you never knew if a receiver would hang onto the ball on any given pass. And Lynch is playing like he has a contract waiting for him...except he already signed his contract. There is something special about this group that is way more exciting than anything in the past. That's the difference right now.

Merry Christmas to my Seahawks/Seattle brethren.

Deon Butler got cut and the team is bringing in Ray Edwards in for workouts. He was pretty damn good when he was surrounded by that cast in Minny. Seattle has a pretty decent cast here themselves

Bro...Everyone is reluctant to to admit that SF got pounded. Seattle dominated that game so even if there were no refs, the result would have been somewhat the same. And with Niners being gassed argument...It may hold some weight, but for the most part, people see what they want and ignore a lot of what doesn't help their argument.

Bottom line is that when SF gets smacked in the mouth off the bat, they have a hard time getting back into the game. Minnesota, New York, Seattle...All out to big early leads and with no response from the Niners. They haven't shown they can comeback from a two score deficit. To me, that shows they are somewhat exposed. Still very dangerous because that D has the ability not to let such a lead happen, but without a quarterback playing uber-efficient on that team...They're susceptible. That's what I see, at least.
