Fire&Ice vs. Steiner Brothers
Their matches have been getting cut short in recent weeks so it was good that they gave them a good amount of time for this match. Match was solid, hard bumps EEEEKKKK at that Frankensteiner at the end
Konnan vs. El Gato
Who's this fake, out of shape Tiger Mask?
I've gotta say from all the hype WCW built around Konnan so far I'm not impressed. Non of his matches have really caught my attention. Nothing special or entertaining. Maybe it's the limited time they're giving him to perform and he's hasn't been able to put a good match together..I don't know. He's also just taking on any challengers and hasn't had anyone to feud with for the title.
DDP vs. Buff Bagwell
Buff gave him the loudest cross body I ever heard. I thought he missed and hit DDP in the face or something.
I love DDP's entrance music. He's def. a level above all the jobbers he takes on every week. This man def. needs a strap on him but the ring is a filler to hold him over until then.
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Dean Malenko
Historic match here. Rey's debut into the big leagues. These two work so well together, I could watch them all day long. Dean really worked his arm in this match.
NOteworthy move: Mexican Plancha to a pin was dope. The way he dropped Rey, to that pin was nice. Too bad it was so close to the rope.
***They mention Eddie winning the Super-J cup that week and the Love & Peace event. I would vote for a watch along for these events.
