Shipping shoes to Italy ???

Does anybody if it's possible to ship a pair of sneakers to Italy ?

I've often noticed on eBay auctions that the seller wouldn't ship to Italy because of import rules for that country.

Anybody know ?

Footwear is prohibited from being sent into Italy. Not sure of the reason or if there's a way around it, but I never heard of any.

Don't do it. Italy has one of the worst mailing systems in the world - taking a few L's with them, I feel like they're paid to lose your parcels.

Italian customs is so shady, and buyers there know this. There is no way to track your package or prove that it's been delivered, and trust the localstake advantage. I had a Gov. official there try to scam me
