what was so sad to me was watching his bewildered brother trying to process out loud--on live international television--that his brother is now a mass murderer...kept referencing him with present tense--my brother IS, my brother DOES--it's not even real to him yet.

imagine knowing someone you considered yourself that close to held that much secret pain. imagine NOT KNOWING your brother of 57 years.

that's why I think the only enduring solution to this kind of violence is to address it at the root. structure government to serve the needs of its people foremost.

make mental health a priority from childhood. end the adversarial culture fostered by today's media. encourage inclusion in society.

ensure the most dangerous animal on Earth has a stress-free habitat conducive to positive social behavior, the same way we do with the four-leggers.

yeah it sounds like some John Lennon song, and is a long-fix suggestion for sure, but the way I see it anything else is just duct tape and bubblegum.

it's a damn shame.

The problem with a Utpoia (as I'm sure you're aware) is one man's heaven is the next man's hell. Some people don't want equal anything across the board because it makes them feel better knowing that they have access to things other people dream of. Basic things too. But I'll save that for another time.
 
Sorry maybe it's been posted already, what's up with the girl that was going around telling people they were going to die 45 minutes before it happened. Why didn't security clear the place out when they heard that?

You read that on yahoo huh, i saw that article. Man i dont believe that story one bit. That was click bait and someone there just trying to add to the nonsense of the whole tragedy.

A big crowd of people, plenty of time for pranksters and loonies to go out n just act a fool. Woman probably did this for laughs, obviously no one thought anything of it because they didnt report it, then just so happened someone opened fire and people actually died. Now this person recalls that lady going thru the crowd saying it.


Unless they can find morr evidence that the woman knew something then its just a story

Pac wasn't gunned down in the middle of Las Vegas Blvd, tf you get your info from? :stoneface:

He was gunned down on the corner of East Flamingo & Koval Ln, which was far enough away from the strip for a perfect place to commit murder without witnesses and a clean getaway.
 
I'm curious to see what kind of details emerge about the suspect over the upcoming weeks. With the apparent lack of motive at this time, there's gotta be some deep-seated issues that the dude was facing that haven't been discovered yet.
 
Is it not a bit suspicious that this Mari Lou woman is out if the country at the moment? Convenient timing there...

I'm not sure what protocol is but I'm also not sure how practical it is to try to evacuate 40K people on one presumably crazy person saying "people are going to die".
 
My friend's cousins from China were visiting Las Vegas yesterday and tried to go to the festival, but parking was too hectic, so they turned back. What a beautiful country we're inviting tourists to. Seriously though, other nations need to put out travel warnings for the US the same way we do for countries every time 2-3 people die from a disease abroad. If I'm a tourist, I'll take my chances with Zika over an AR-15 any day

This is a great tragedy. I was shocked when my coworkers told me about this this morning. I don't understand how someone could kill a single innocent person, much less THAT MANY :smh::smh: RIP to those that lost their lives...

For those spouting off "ban all guns!", how do you plan to implement that? The ONLY possible way to make that work (and not simply leave criminals as the only ones with guns) is to go door-to-door and take them out of people's hands... and who wants to sign up for that job- you? I think that whole "ban all guns" idea is much easier said than done, particularly with ~300 million guns already in this country. If the govt really did try to go door to door, it could only turn into a Civil War (2), realistically. :wow:

I wish there was an easy answer, but I don't know of one that actually works in reality.

I'm trying to but I'm stuck here. My dad is getting treatment from Stanford for an indefinite period of time and doesn't want to switch from one of the best hospitals in the world. Before that, he and my mom were planning to retire abroad soon, and I would've gladly joined them. There's no way any of us can leave now.

I mean...unless she's in Russia or one of the other places where there's no extradition treaty...it really doesn't matter. If she had something to do with it...there's no hiding. So if she "fled"...it's only buying her a smidget of time.

yo forget Stanford too. They couldn't even treat my dad. Now he's on his own running dialysis 3 times a day.

Listen man what happened was a tragedy and I wish it would never happen but to claim you are very likely to die like this in America to the extent you would rather visit or I've in a country that has rampant Zika is insane.

For all the senseless death we have in America, it's still statisticlly one of safest places in the world to live.

Could just be a coincidence though, hell of a coincidence, but its not unlikely. Could have had her tripped planned and he saw perfect time to work alome with no questions of hos actions

When my dad passes and hopefully my mom moves back to her homeland, I am out and will be in Portugal or Norway for the foreseeable future.

I can't handle this **** anymore.
