However I was watching the news today and some of the %+@$ I've seen from people in NYC is laughable.I'm seeing people in Staten Island in residential neighborhoods complaining there cars being stuck. And they have freakin' driveways? Put your damn car in the driveway if you can.

Also, can't help to notice the people who think spinning their tires in the snow for minutes on end will get them out. I'm suprised by the number of people I see who won't just grab a damn shovel and do some manual labor for a few minutes.

Also you guys have the largest mass transit system in the world, why are you guys driving in the middle of a snow storm and abandoning your cars in the middle of an intersection? I would never leave my car in an intersection and walk away like alot of people in NYC did yesterday. Go grab a shove and dig yourself out.
A lot of people are true idiots

some people are just morons. they rather have a empty driveway so they can shovel snow easily than have a car in the way.

the transit system is not 100% reliable, i remember three years ago it rained four inches in a hour and it crippled the system.

Well, here's my story. I work for ABC News in NYC. I live in NJ. The job called me and asked if I wanted a room for my 6am shift, I said yes with the impending storm. They put me in the Millennium Hotel in Times Square. It was the premium suite on the 10 floor. Very nice. However, on my way to work I took a nap with my phone next to me on the train. And yep you guessed it. Someone stole it. And of course no one saw anything nor gave a damn. Didnt even bother looking for it. For some odd reason Times Square and NYC was packed. So, I spent a few minutes looking for something to eat. One slice of pizza = $3. After chkecing out the hotel I was handed the phone bill from the room. Because I didnt have a phone I had to use the hotel rooms to call everyone of importance to tell them I'm good. Bad move. The bill was $140. I made 6 calls. After my shift I got on another train to go home at 2pm. All trains stopped working. I mean everything. The first train I got on at 3pm I was stuck for 2.5 hours. So 5 hours go by and Im still stuck. BTW NYC did a poor job plowing and shoveling. Piss poor. Time goes by trains finally get going Im home at 10pm.

first day back at work and I'm heading home and the Kew Gardens stop on the E/F has snow all over the place.

They haven't shoveled ANYTHING by Jamaica on the sidestreets.

I remember that Vintage, the E/F trains weren't moving from Continental and people had to take the bus to the city
