If your computer is already infected:

1. Download Avast! Antivirus (Free!)
2. Go to options and schedule a "Boot-time" Scan
3. Restart your computer & let Avast! do work.
4. Delete/Quarantine any malware found.

5. Download SuperAntiSpyware (Free!)
6. Run complete system scan (Go to preferences a make sure the boxes on the bottom right are checked)


I've removed malware multiple times from my computer and those two programs, plus admuncher, will keep you relatively safe from getting malware fromNT's ads.

When I was browsing on my Mac with Firefox, I was able to catch one of them try to install an .exe file.

Unfortunately on the PC, I got hit

It was a trojan that redirected ALLmy internet search results regardless of browser or search engine. It was even smart enough to even prevent me from installing certain anti-spyware programs.

But I was able to use MalwareBytes to remove it. And then I almost gotcaught with the PDF one today.

I installed superantispyware and it made my computer really slow. I don't know why but as soon as I uninstalled it, my computer ran normal again. But Istill have those annoying pop ups and MF acting crazy. I was thinking on going to the local shop here in town to get it fixed. They only charge about $35. ButI was thinking what if I get it fixed and running back to normal without any viruses and I come back on NT....same thing is going to happen to my computer. Somy question here is when do you mods/adms think this problem will be fixed?

i actually just hooked up a new computer after a week of no computer...because of losing my last one to a virus i got from NT and it wouldn't let myantispyware open...now after it loads it sits at a black screen
