Some teachers are my school would intentionally assign in-class projects and assignments on ditch day to deter kid from not coming.

Kids also tried to claim about a dozen days as "Senior Ditch Day", but I think the school "allowed" us to skip the Monday after prom.

i had a softball game on the day of my senior skip day, and we had to be in 4 or more classes or we couldn't play. so me and my fellow senior team mates were in class alone.
