Same i was saying this a while ago about retro'ing cleats. Look at other nike segments. Retro's are huge. Why not keep doing this.

Id pay retail $220 ish for any of these with vapor 9 upper

all those were :smokin itd be great, but Nike rarely gives us what we want. And if they do they'll make them "Limited" 1,900 pairs? c'mon Nike

I wouldn't be surprised if later on they actually make them in the original colorway or even retro the originals. They might be testing the waters with these. And only up to size 11?? C'mon nike. I would pre order from unisport if they had size 12.

I haven bought mercurials since the yellow green r9 s from 06 need to see how these run and if I can stuff my foot in an 11. Really want these

sorry they were up to size 12 US if I remember, maybe even 13.

If I remember from UK NDC it was 7-11,12, maybe 13 I don't recall, but at least UK11 so US12.

So no 11.5 I thought.

If uk 11 I'm good. I tweeted to nike football no size 12? And they answered me back no larger than 11 but didn't specify if uk sizes or not

They only released up to a UK 10, US 11.

Absolutely killed me, I'm a UK 11 and would love to have a pair of these to wear. I've managed to get a UK 10 which I will keep for my collection, but would love a pair to play in.

Really not sure why Nike doesn't release any of the limited editions in a UK 11/US 12. The GS, GS II, Vapor IX SE CR and now the Vapor XV anniversary have all not been released in a UK 11/US 12

Yeah I've been hoping for years that they retro these R9s. Bummed that the largest size will be an 11. [emoji]128541[/emoji]

If Arsenal make this proposed switch to Adidas....my life of buying kits is over. I hate Adidas kits, and Arsenal has been with Nike since the Wenger era began. The Sega shirts, The Sega Dreamcast shirt and the O2 shirts are absolute classics. Henry, Bergkamp, and Viera wore them. Cant even imagine Adidas kits...looking like David Rocastle(R.I.P)

^ I know, Arsenal in Adidas is like Liverpool in Warrior-- an overt symbol the golden days are over. :smh:

Exactly...harkens back to the old 1 - nil to the Arsenal days....boring, ugly football

You mean like this past saturday to QPR? 1 Nil to the Arsenal is classic rugged play and if That's what we're about I'll take the 3 points anyday...
We'd all love the Invincibles days, but let's be real, that isn't happening anytime soon...
HOPEFULLY we keep our recent run of good form to Ensure a Champions League berth, which in turn will give us some leverage over the offseason to purchase new players and address some gaping shortcomings, and should help shore up the team, hopefully allowing us to compete for an actual league title in the next 2-3 years...

As for adidas, I completely understand the above posters... Nike has been there hand in hand with the modern revival of Arsenal and I CANNOT imagine us in anything BUT the swoosh... Not to mention the Adidas templates are terrible and lack any sort of cutting edge design elements... Hopefully the link that someone posted above regarding the Adidas deal falling through is indeed true... only time will tell....

Yeah, seeing the Gunners in anything except Swoosh would be weird to me. Looks like Warrior is pushing hard to get Man U in their stable. Now that would be too weird to see. Below is s the latest post from the Daily Mail in the UK... How would Man U fans feel about this?

United to welcome £30m bidding war over kit deal between Nike and Liverpool sponsors Warrior
By IAN LADYMAN
PUBLISHED: 05:25 EST, 22 April 2013 | UPDATED: 05:25 EST, 23 April 2013

Champions Manchester United are set for more staggering riches as it emerged that American sportswear giants Nike and Warrior will fight it out for the rights to the club’s new kit deal.

United – who celebrated their 20th league title after beating Aston Villa 3-0 at Old Trafford last night – currently wear a strip manufactured by Nike, a deal that nets the club a basic sum of £23.5m-a-year.

But already England’s most commercially successful football club are set to smash through the £30m-a-year barrier and beyond with their next contract after being told by up and coming Warrior that they will compete for the rights when United become legally able to talk to rival bidders at the end of this summer.

Although United’s current deal doesn’t expire until the end of the 2014-15 season, they are already in what is known as a six-month ‘period of exclusivity’ with Nike, during which time they can talk only to them.

However, the club have already warned that they expect a significant increase on the last deal – thrashed out as long ago as 2002 – and the fact they, and indeed Nike, are aware of Warrior’s interest will only strengthen the club’s hand.

'We feel we know, with some clarity, the value of our rights, and we are bullish about the abundance of opportunities available to accelerate the growth of this business,' United vice-chairman Ed Woodward said of the Nike deal at the end of last year.

'Our six-month negotiating window with [Nike] starts in February. We look forward to sitting down with them then.'
Warrior are a well-established brand in America, specialising in lacrosse and ice-hockey equipment.

Relatively unknown in football circles until recently, they are nevertheless aggressively seeking a place in the market and made their first significant breakthrough when they struck a British record £25m-a-year deal to make Liverpool’s kit in 2011.

Their clear interest in snatching the United contract from Nike means that even if the Old Trafford club strike a deal with their current partners in the coming weeks, the price will already have been driven up.

Moses out on soccer.com for the r9. iPhone too slow. I can do an 11 after all. Oh well. If you wear less than 11 check soccer corner

Vapors sold out already |I Oh well, didn't need to fork out $350 for some cleats. If they actually had the R9 on them then that might have been a different story. Wish they would have released some gear to go with these as a consolation for those who couldnt cop
