* SOCCER/FUTBOL/FOOTBALL FEET, KITS AND GEAR - 2014 *

What store had these boxes?
those boxes were at Marco Materazzi's store in Italy Space23. The tongue also was different underneath with photos of his tattoos. Pretty cool, but I am ok with the fact I got 2 of the 3 pairs here in the US.

I picked up 1 pair of royals from crooked tongues. The rest of my pairs are from the US. I was mad some of the sites I usually cope ended up being instore only

I heard from a reliable source that these were produced in much less quantities than the royals or bred 1s. I guess for us soccer heads we don't care. I do love these shoes, leather is on point and top quality. Good to see Nike put some good product out

Definitely believe this. Thought the whole concept was executed well. To more soccer-related sneaker releases in the future and definitely this summer.

NETHERLANDS UNVEILS 125TH ANNIVERSARY DUTCH HOME KIT WITH NIKE

To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the KNBV (Royal Dutch Football Association), the 2014 jersey sports a striking new crest. This features an enlarged white lion to symbolize a new era in Dutch football and the team’s core values of simplicity, honor and unity.

“We wanted to mark this historic moment for The Netherlands with a new kit and a new crest that celebrates the past, but also represents the start of an exciting new period for Dutch Football,” said Martin Lotti, Global Creative Director, Nike Football.

The lion has been used on The Dutch kits since 1907. In the 1960s and '70s, it was shown as large and free, but in black, while in recent times, only its head has been shown wearing a crown. For 2014, this proud and rampant lion is white and larger to represent the pride of Holland and the unity of its players.

The new Dutch jersey is in traditional orange with a modern V-neck collar, and provides a classic and clean canvas on which to showcase the new crest. Beneath the crest is the Royal Dutch Football Association’s founding year of 1889, along with 2014 to commemorate its 125th anniversary.

The kit design is restrained, but hidden inside the cuff is white trim, which can be turned out to suit individual player preferences. Inside the back of the neck is an orange pennant tab showcasing the crown that sits upon the lion’s head on the Association’s own crest.

Nike also collaborated with the legendary Dutch graphic designer and typographer Wim Crouwel to create new names and numbers. Crouwel used the back of the Dutch home jersey as a canvas to specially create a modern font, which also possesses a retro aesthetic. The lines inside the numbers are reminiscent of the numbers famously seen in football in the 1970s. To lend a further stamp of authority, each number also houses a small Royal Dutch Football Association crest at the bottom.

Dutch player Kevin Strootman, said: “The new 125th anniversary kit captures our unique football heritage perfectly, and the new Lion crest celebrates the pride we have as a team to pull on the jersey and represent our country.”

Simple and iconic, the new shorts are white and feature a slimmer and more tailored fit. Based on fit research the cut is specifically designed to aid movement and comfort. The center back of the shorts feature Nike’s signature laser vents to aid in cooling and allow for moisture management. The new home socks are also orange.

U.S. UNVEILS 2014 NATIONAL TEAM KIT WITH NIKE SOCCER

The classic jersey is white with gray horizontal pinstripes across the body and sleeves, a reference to the USA’s historic tradition of using stripes. The jersey has a white polo collar featuring red trim, a nod of respect to this iconic piece of American fashion and sportswear.

Inside the back of the neck a blue pennant tab features the original thirteen stars of the American Flag, representing the most evocative symbol of American national pride.

The back of the jersey includes a unique and specially designed font for the names and numbers, which is modern, angular and directly influenced by U.S. sports teams.

Each number on the back of the jersey also houses a small U.S. Soccer crest at the bottom.
"It's always an honor to wear the colors of your country, and this summer we will be hard to miss in an all-white look," said U.S. Men's National Team captain Clint Dempsey. "We will be traveling all over Brazil and playing in a lot of different conditions, so the innovative Nike designs will serve us well."
The new shorts are white with a red stripe on each side. Simple and iconic, the fit is slimmer and more tailored to the body, with a cut specifically designed to aid movement and comfort. The center back of the shorts feature Nike’s signature laser vents to aid in cooling and allow for moisture management. The new socks coordinate with the classic aesthetic.

Dope Netherlands kit, very classy.

Still tho to this day, I will never understand European's (myself being one) fascination with the "Lion". Lion's don't live in Europe.

England, Netherlands, Sporting, etc

I tweeted WSS to see if they would be releasing specific player jerseys or if I would have to customize and they replied:

@cjbLV We have full authentic customization. We will release certain player jerseys once their numbers are announced.

I just want to know if they'll be releasing Graham Zusi (probably not likely) so I know if I have to customize one.

nike continues to do a tremendous job with the croatia kit - it's always in my top 5. if you had to pick one picture to put in the dictionary next to a soccer/football shirt, croatia's would be it.

dutch shirt will also be copped; i just need to figure out who's name i'm getting on the back.

Netherlands joint is ******* fire esp the nameset and #'s. I always think of them as the Oregon football of futbol nawmean just in terms of kits nothing else.

I hate the US home....just looks and a US polo...something a coach would wear on the side line :smh:

The Croatia kit though..best looking one i have seen so far. There is something about the Italy kit that i don't like. It might be the white lines on the stomach i wish that wasn't there. Dutch kit looks good too

If he makes the WC squad, you will be able to find his without having to "customize it."

IMO, Nike did it right with the retro looks on France and Holland. Classy, classy, classy.
