See that's why I wouldn't be mad at Hayden Christensen being in the ST for a little bit. Seeing Anakin have a conversation with Luke, Leia, or one of his grandchildren would be incredible.

I'm really starting to believe Darth Bane will be the main villain for the ST. I don't see them bringing back Sidious, and they've already introduced Bane in the Clone Wars for the fans who want more info on him.

Fits the rumored 'ancient fear' title nice.
:{ put a spoiler on that I'm just starting season 6

But...

Exist, he does not, anymore.

Are you referring to the EU being dissolved? Or just the fact that he's been dead for several decades? :lol

Cuz they can always conjure up some bs way to bring him back to life, and as for the EU, his stuff still stands, hence why it's in the Clone Wars to begin with. It's considered legit cannon.

I'm not saying he's for sure in this next trilogy, but it is a good possibility.

You gotta be easy with me because I've only seen the movies and all of Clone Wars (currently rewatching CW right now). I'm just referring to the CW episode since that's all I know about him. I was intrigued when he came up in that episode and talked about all the Siths killing eachother and he was the lone survivor so that's when he decided to implement the "only 2 sith" rule. Found out he was dead and it was :| I'm sure they could bring him back somehow though.

What's the EU? Should I check this out?

EU is expanded universe. (Books) And that's a loaded question for someone like me. :lol

The EU is tremendous, however, Disney basically just blew it outta the water and are "rewriting" some stuff, to fit in with the movies/shows better. So, some of the stuff you might read, wouldn't appear on film.

Bane, is originally from a book series, looooooong before Anakin ever came to be. The fact they incorporated him into the Clone Wars, does mean he will be part of the cannon, so he won't be rewritten. You could read those books, and learn more about him. Basically, he's a bad ***. :hat

Thanks dude. Didn't know what that acronym was but I've seen it used in here a lot. Good to know.

I hate fiction reading for the most part. Usually just read non-fiction. BUT, I love Star Wars so much that I may have to check the EU out. Any suggestions on where to start? Is it episodal and all over the place or sequential? Can never really tell how to watch with Star Wars because all the different story lines that eventually come together somehow.

Just depends on what you want to read about, and how.

For instance, the Bane books are “newer” books, but in the Star Wars timeline, they take place about 1,000 years before Star Wars.

The first books, came out in like 1991, and are set five years after Return of the Jedi. They, are the reason the EU is so popular. Those books were DEVOURED by Star Wars fans, and set in motion over a hundred books the next two decades. (which, Disney casually wiped out with ease. :lol :lol )

They are:
Heir to the Empire
Dark Force Rising
The Last Command

By Timothy Zahn

I’d say just like the original movies, start with those books. From there, you can go all the way back, or just follow in order of release date, etc, but they are your starting point to see if you even like the books.

Jesus Christ how big is this cast :lol

‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Casts Newcomer Christina Chong[/SIZE=5]

christina-chong-star-wars.jpg

British actress Christina Chong has joined the cast of “Star Wars: Episode VII,” sources confirm.

She joins Adam Driver, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, who recently suffered a leg injury, are also set to return.

It’s unknown who Chong will play in the Disney and Lucasfilm tentpole but it’s said to be a minor role. The actress was most recently seen in Fox’s “24: Live Another Day.”

Directed by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: Episode VII” is set to bow Dec. 18, 2015.

Chong, who also appeared in Madonna’s “W.E.,” is repped by Piers Nimmo Management and Thruline Entertainment.

Latino Review first reported the casting.

So the basic plot of the movie might have leaked... In the Spoiler

I'm going to keep this vague. I have no interest in spoiling Star Wars Episode VII, although I'm sure some people will find any information about the film's plot to be spoilery. If you're a spoilerphobe or want to go into Star Wars Episode VII totally, completely clean, stop reading now. If you want to know what, on a very basic and general level, is the premise of Star Wars Episode VII, read on.

Ready?

Imagine the standard Star Wars crawl, and when it ends the camera pans up to the stars. But instead of a spaceship zooming into frame we see... a hand! A severed hand, tumbling through space. A severed hand gripping a light saber.

That hand falls onto a desert planet, where it is discovered by characters who will be our heroes. One is Daisy Ridley. The other is John Boyega, who is playing someone trying to change his path in life (again, I'm keeping it vague here). They recognize the light saber as a Jedi relic and decide to return it to the proper people.

Their quest takes them off world, and they meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who aren't flying around in the Millenium Falcon anymore but are piloting... well, that could be a spoiler. I'll leave it. Anyway, Han and Chewie recognize the light saber as Luke's, and they say they haven't seen their friend in thirty years, since the events of Return of the Jedi.

So begins a quest to find the missing Jedi Master. Meanwhile, on an ice planet, nefarious forces are building a super weapon, one capable of destroying not planets but entire solar systems...

In many ways this plot of Episode VII is an echo of A New Hope. Instead of R2 coming to Tatooine it's a hand falling from the sky, but the basic sweep of the story is similar, and intentionally so. But things that seem familiar may not be as familiar as you think - don't assume that every ice or desert planet in the galaxy has already been visited, if you know what I'm saying.

There's more, of course - this is just the broadest of outlines, a basic synopsis. On the one hand I sort of roll my eyes at the story echoing A New Hope, but on the other I like the propulsive quest concept. I'm hearing extremely positive things about the action, and very, very good things about the characters themselves and the way the actors are bringing them to life. Again and again I'm hearing that John Boyega owns this movie.

What do you think? How does the basic plot of Star Wars: The Hand Of Skywalker (not the real title!) sound to you?

http://badassdigest.com/2014/07/20/exclusive-star-wars-episode-vii-plot-details-revealed/

The rumor of the movie being a search for Luke Skywalker with Han and Chewie leading the charge with the new kids has been reported by pretty much everyone since February. Pretty sure this is true.

Haven't seen him in 30 years...........

If that is their plan, they've already failed. Miserably.

:{

I won't even mention they are trying to rehash the story, instead of ADVANCE the story.

Stop with Jedi searches for 60 year olds, and Empire building superweapons.

Tell the "new" stories 85% of the world doesn't know about yet. :{

Jesus Christ this isn't hard to figure out.

Like I said, pretty much every media outlet has been saying we'll be getting a story like this since the beginning of the year. So either this is what we're getting, or there's some epic misdirection being done by Disney.

I just don't see why Luke would be gone for THIRTY years. Makes zero sense for his character. He'd made peace with Vader, was the rebellions biggest asset, and had basically told Yoda he'd rebuild the Jedi, not to mention he had told Leia he'd train her as well....

If he was gone for 5-10 years searching out some growing Darkness or building the order, I'd be perfectly fine with that. But this sounds like he just up'd n disappeared after the DS2 destruction party because he was sad.

Nah.

Exactly. He left his sister for 30 years?

No way that makes sense, unless, of course, you want to totally, and completely, destroy the EU for good. That's the only logical excuse.

If that is true, we'll just have to wait for the Avengers to pop up on Tatooine.

Sad, sad, sad.....

Why are they bringing back the 70's characters if the target audience is 5-10 years old kids who haven't watched the original series and never will.

Lol that has to be fake.

Which hand is it?

The one he lost in empire strikes back?

Thang been floatin around for 30 years :lol

Even though it's probably fake... I still wish we'd see Ardnt's script... I was looking forward to his take on it.

His script would've been 10x worst from the things that leaked :lol Apparently Luke died in the first 15 minutes :|
