Can't even dislike the movie in peace
The gripes are coming from SW fans. Me being a fan doesnt mean I'm not gonna have an issue with the movie. You can and should. I get where you coming from. But don't think the petty continuous B* session posts in this Thread from others don't get on SW Fans last nerves. Please don't think that last sentance was directed toward you. Serious.

LOL I just realized they killed Admiral Ackbar for the sole purpose of forcing Vice Admrial "Secret-Keeper" Holdo on us.
He was in the way of the chain of command and therefore was axed in favor of a nonsensical character with purple hair
little boys still crying?
I purchased the TLJ visual dictionary
I forgot how much I enjoyed these books
I wish this kind of world building was, y'know, in the movie
Not including merchandising...
The outrage with midichlorians and Jar Jar wasn’t nearly on this level. Technology wasn’t even as wide spread as it is now for people to voice there displeasure. Regardless of what people want to say about Lucas and the prequels, he at least kept his world building consistent. We heard about the clone wars in ‘77. TLJ can’t even make good on the Knight of Ren introduced 2 years prior.
If you don’t think the outrage wasn’t this bad, you clearly weren’t paying attention back then the same way you didn’t pay attention to this movie.
That makes no sense....similar to this movie. You didn’t find any actors unsure about the script for any of the prequels. There wasn’t widespread speculation as to where plots were going. There weren’t any subverted subplots. We all knew what was going to happen. I happen to remember the clone wars creating a large resurgence amongst Star Wars in pop culture. Animated series’ and merchandise everywhere. The prequel outrage is not only overblown but it’s becoming the last rock supporters of this farce of a Star Wars film can hold on to.
What is the problem with the midichlorian thing? I missed that outrage.
