Muscle milk is fine if you get it on sale and need the calories, but there are better options out there.

Got in a nice shoulder workout.  One of my boys pushed me to hit calves as well.

In an effort to add a few more carbs, I tossed in a bit of egg noodles into my dinner tonight.  Leftover chicken breast, broccoli, olive oil, small bit of noodles, quick sautee.
 
So when does the new year crowd wave the white flag? My gym is a mess.

I get all motivated, drive up there, see the full *** parking lot and motivation drops to severe levels. I still workout, but it's cut by half because there is just too many damn people :{

lol i didnt look at ingrediants but I`m not a hippie when it comes to artificial sweetners and crap. I dont OD on em but they arent an issue to me. Its impossible to have one of them joints they are so good lol always save room for 2 in your macros.
 
Skinny Cow uses Propylene Glycol Monostearate. Of course , since "they" say everything is bad and will kill you and cause cancer anyways, sometimes it's kind of like f it Just from a macros standpoint, it's profile isn't too bad. And most things vanilla are flavored using beaver anus, literally.

Speaking of quasi healthy Frankenfoods, I got my Walden Farms 0 calorie bbq sauce and pancake syrup in today. They're both pretty good. GNC sells them for $4 with free shipping on eBay, which is much better than Amazon which forces you to buy a case.

Speaking of which, what are some recipe uses for pumpkin seed butter? I can't figure out with what or how I'm supposed to consume this.

Yeah...I've just gotten real paranoid about some of the crap that's in food nowadays.

When I have a treat, I wanna go all the way.  Cane sugar, whole milk, chocolate, etc.

  At least my body can process that stuff.  Just gonna have to work it off the times I do indulge or as I do now, do it in moderation.

I use Big Train sugar buttermilk pancake and waffle mix (got it from netrition.com). It is already pretty protein dense at 90cals and 12g of protein per serving, but then I'll usually add a few egg whites, sometimes peanut flour or PB2, fresh pumpkin or a mashed banana, to it as well. You could always just follow the normal recipe for any brand then add a scoop of protein and 1/2 cup of water to compensate, but since most proteins taste nasty to me I don't.

Where does Beta-Cret rank in terms of preworkouts? I took some yesterday around 8 and didn't get to sleep til like 4am and had the worst nightmares ever :lol I know you shouldn't take that type of stuff late typically because of the caffeine, but I am very tolerant to caffeine so it must have been something else in it than I haven't already burnt out my receptors for.
 
Just started boxing classes. My legs have been jello for two days straight. Havent felt this way since before i tore my acl 3 years ago. Hoping to drop 20 lbs or so.

Shake before bed. Skim milk, scoop of protein and peanut butter. BTW, single serve blended are straight piff. Just grab and go

More people = not enough benches, weights or machines.

Probably better to drink the shake after your lift, and the bar after track. Your muscles are going to need nutrients after lifting and, I'm pretty sure a shake would digest faster than a bar.
 
Squated 315lbs for the first time ever. Was stuck at 305.

Thank you Freeze for the recommendations on cutting reps and pyramiding up. I actually did 2 sets of 2 at 315 and felt good about it. I probably will push a little more next time.
 
Need some quick input. Getting back into a lifting. Haven't really lifted in years since back when I ran track. Going for a compound routine full body workout ands wanted to know if there are different exercises someone would recommend:

Squat
Benchpress
Bent over rows or pullups
Deadlift
Military press
Dips
Curls
Calf raises
Abs

Probably switch out some for machines if they feel more comfortable doing. Probably have this as a 2 or 3 day routine and keep my usual running schedule.
