STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Personally, id give up a % of 2 if it means I can eat less than healthy foods and still enjoy them.

I have 0 desire to be 8% bodyfat.

I wish i wasn't so self concscious man. Srs smh

Pain & Gain is a perfect example of bodybuilders these days hahaha

GF said she doesn't typically dig Michael Bay flicks, but found P&G to be okay, especially since she saw me enjoying it :lol

The old me wouldnt've even entertained the thought of the movie. Funny (or sad) I related to quite a bit of it, A+ from me :)

After dealing with so many people in the health/wellness/fitness world, ive realized that its not about exercises at all. It's all about people and their own psychological "issues". I've probably learned more psychology than I have physiology working with this kind of population.

It's the most vain and self absorbed group of people ive ever been around, and the vast majority have self-esteem issues.

So my wife was stretching me earlier today and I noticed my thighs and quads aren't as chunky as before and a little more defined. However, i am much stronger on my lega lifts. Anyone else go thru that?

That makes sense actually. I use to be chubby for a while, wasn't fat or anything but had lil man boobs. Once I got fit/skinny, I have this fear that anything I eat thats bad will get me fat. I understand its such a silly and stupid thing but it's serious in my head. I can't shake that idea out. I always tell folks I suffer from self esteem issues and the sole reason why and only reason is I can't imagine being chubby anymore. Crazy

That feel, I live it. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit it, but I fear losing what i've accomplished so much that I shy away from a ton of stuff as a result :{

So your legs have gotten stronger and they're more defined... and you're confused? What are you confused about?

i was never fat, but i was always the ugly guy in my group of friends, i try to over compensate by being better athletically and having a better physique

PSYCH, man dime since my inception, this aint OPRAH fools, stop crying and lift those damn weights

Not confused. I expected to be more defined but still have big quads. They look skinnier. Maybe the excess fat there is gone and that's the difference I am seeing.

I'm the same way! I've worked so hard to get where I am right now and im so close to my goal that I can't let up.

Oatmeal or steel cut oats for breakfast? Any difference?

rolled oats (the quaker 1-minute microwave stuff) are easy and gets the job done. steel cut takes half an hour to cook in front of a stove but has better texture. you can get a fancy rice cooker (zojirushi) and program it to have it ready when you wake up.

with that said, i don't wanna spend $100+ for a rice cooker and don't like cooking in the mornings as i rush out to work. plain microwaved rolled oats + a protein shake it is.

if you've never had steel cut oats, go to jamba juice and try theirs out.

sweet potato looks and tastes :x i bought the fires and made them in the oven and they were like wet and weird. they smelled good

i just wanted to try them and maybe start eating baked sweet potatoes but meh
Man, you had to buy the wrong ones are had to many on the baking sheet. Cause usually their :smokin. And I'm definitely gonna try sneakerfan recipe.

i bought the ore ida brand which ive had most of their fries and they are :hat

but um i might buy some sweet potatoes this weekend and try it out

idk why either because i havent had regular baked potato in weeks and before iw as eating 2-3 a day everyday

Can you eat the oatmeal raw? Im thinking
I should just throw them in the blender with water and drink em,will the oats lose nutrition
That way? Thanks in advance this is a great
Thread:)

Deadlift day gonna try to hit shoulders too. Did chest yesterday...went back to barbell flat after doing dumbbell flat for a while. Still did DB inclines though....cable declines and DB flys.

Cheat day yesterday...had a chicken cheese steak....don't even care....it was worth it...even though i only ate half :rolleyes

No difference... Whether cooked or not

I personally throw a whole container in the blender and make an oat powder... Then mix in protein shake in the morning

21-30 reps per set got to me today , Day 19 tmrw of Sh2sH

Bros I feel you on the mental part of this lifestyle. I won't lie while I've been trying to bulk up I've been looking in the mirror even more because I am afraid I'm going to just get fat again

Can't be afraid of a few pounds on your bulk. Just remember to be as dedicated if not more so, on your cut.
