Stevie Wonder is the greatest musician of our time.

I guess you never heard of David Bowie, Brian Eno, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Ennio Morricone, or Frank Zappa.

^ Sadly, half of this forum wouldn't be able to recognize most of those names

Hopefully not just the fact that they're White.

What's "our time"? I'd put Fela Kuti up there. More so than that, music is so..I cant find the word but it hits everyone differently, I thinkits demeaning to say one is better than another if you acknowledge all the ones being compared are simply, great.

Stevie is the GOAT, Op is correct... jus look at his demographic... all races, all ages, all tax brackets....

someone make a Stevie raptor jesus gif plz

Majority of classic rock acts do i.e. Beatles, Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Stones, The Who, Jimi, etc.

If you've only just HEARD of Bob Dylan and you haven't even heard of Brian Wilson....you have no business proclaiming anyone as "the greatestmusician of our time." Not to be an a-hole, but that's ridiculous.

Like those listed by CruThik as well as a lot of modern artists as well. I think Thom Yorke, Noah Lennox, and a few others have already accomplished moremusically than Stevie Wonder ever did.

Ultimately, choosing ONE musician and deeming them the greatest of all time is pointless. Everyone will have different opinions on qualifications and whatnot.Opinions will be very biased based on one's personal musical preference, the music they grew up with, their experience with the music, etc. etc.

Although it is preference, what are you basing greatness off of? Awards, popularity?, Record Sales?

IMO based off of lifetime of discography and work PRINCE >

True, but some can't possibly qualify. Michael Jackson, Prince, etc.....no way Jose.

Please explain how Prince doesn't qualify as one of the greatest musicians. I would love to hear this argument.

Come on man, Bob Marley? Bob Marley is cool but nowhere near the best musician. Not even in the running.
