still wild to me given what Butler and the coaches said. everyone going out of their way to cover it up? kinda strange to me

Stallworth hinted at folks in Minny saying the same thing about what reported went down...not a good look for MB if true. Still wish he would've played regardless but I can understand it a bit more now if what's being reported actually happened

So.......if Butler really did get caught with weed, before the SB, and missed curfew, or whatever the real story is, the Patriots are essentially trying to "protect" him by not releasing the information and just sayin it was matchups? Is that the crux of what they're tryin to tell us?

Cuz they could have easily stated, Butler got popped the night before, we're benching him and moving on. Right?

But they won't say that, instead giving zero info. Are they trying to not rat him out to the media or something????

he is a free agent right? maybe they are just trying to do him a solid for his wallet because if what is reported is true, that will def scare teams away

Grown men with families who risk brain damage and paralysis every game get treated like children, disrespected, and are often punished for minor things like smoking weed and missing curfew by coaches who get paid millions to read plays off a clip board. The NFL needs to stop with this moral high ground nonsense and subjective punishment. These dudes are pro athletes not choir boys or politicians. The MAGA crowd says keep politics out of sports, but politics are injected into sports when commissioners, coaches, the general public, etc. punish players for non-criminal behavior. Bellichick may have negatively impacted Butler's future earning potential with this move. All prob because Butler didn't follow the so-called Patriot way this season. They wouldn't have beat SEA without Butler, now he's expendable. This is exactly why pro athletes shouldn't have any loyalty for these franchises. Get your money and get out of the game. I don't blame Gronk for considering retiring early.

Well done by the Eagles by rejecting the visit to the white house.
If Wentz attends the White House ceremony after he posted that comment on fb defending Haiti after Trumps racist comments about Haiti, he will be the biggest lame and hypocrite ever. I'm Watching you Carson. Dudes hype up Carson to be this great progressive guy (he may be and I'm hoping he is), but if he goes up to that White House he aint ish.

Background to this ?

Lowest ratings since 2009. No real shock. Not much hype in this game outside of Philly. Even Boston had SB fatigue. They were more amped for the Celtics game earlier in the day.
