My boy in Phila (huge Eagles fan, offered to fight me a few years ago over an Eagles loss) told me a few days ago that he would bet his life the Eagles would win. I said no ****in way. He said he heard that they're trying to make some big movie about this whole journey. I laughed at him hard as **** but I swear if there's a ****in movie in the next five years, I'm gonna apologize to him.

So still no official word on Butler?

But what aout that commercial thou..

I loved it. Eli is doofy as hell and has no rhythm at all. I always enjoy watching Eli do **** like that. Was I supposed to hate it?

I've never seen the movie they got that **** from either.

Most sources leaning towards he missed the flight to Minneapolis, missed a team meeting and was found with weed and/or high when the team did a room check.
They are subject to room checks like lil kids??

Grown men with families who risk brain damage and paralysis every game get treated like children, disrespected, and are often punished for minor things like smoking weed and missing curfew by coaches who get paid millions to read plays off a clip board. The NFL needs to stop with this moral high ground nonsense and subjective punishment. These dudes are pro athletes not choir boys or politicians. The MAGA crowd says keep politics out of sports, but politics are injected into sports when commissioners, coaches, the general public, etc. punish players for non-criminal behavior. Bellichick may have negatively impacted Butler's future earning potential with this move. All prob because Butler didn't follow the so-called Patriot way this season. They wouldn't have beat SEA without Butler, now he's expendable. This is exactly why pro athletes shouldn't have any loyalty for these franchises. Get your money and get out of the game. I don't blame Gronk for considering retiring early.
I hear you; however, who's signing his paychecks.

If you don't like your employer , quit.

There are a bunch of employers out there with rules and regulations. Once you accept employment you are bound by those rules.
There were once rules and regulations that prevented people of color from working. All rules and regulations aren’t right or just.

Not remotely the same .... one Is discrimination and the other are rules and regulation.

So in a sense you are saying that our military, fire fighters, police officers, could be on weed and break silly rules that might not seem needed.

I can understand why coaches have some of these silly rules ... it has nothing with treating people like babies, but rather build a team that is going to have discipline and follow the game plan.

Are football players civil servants?

They are employees ...

Anyways , again I hear what you are saying, but if you sign up for a job that has certain rules you just need to follow them.

If the theory is the dude miss the plane and weed was found etc. During the most important time of the year, then as an employer / leader you have to question how invested is that employee ...

I just don't see it any other way ...

And if you let that slide because is butler and the time of year the you lost your team.
