i had sushi in japan, visited the tsujiki fish market area and it's nothing like the U.S. they don't really have rolls there. i liked allthe sushi i ate except raw octopus. it's tough to chew.

eh, it varies. different restaurants have different types of menu choices. what's a definite is that the fish is 1000x fresher/tastier

I ate 63 pieces once in a Sushi contest. It was all nigiri, and it was a part of this contest that this little spot in Sherman Oaks used to host.
I came in SECOND. Seriously. This big old 6'5" cat beat me out, even with my friend Mary Jane on my side. Oh well, she made me feel better afterward.
Not really much of a fan of the rolls these days, and mostly stick to nigiri/sashimi/chirashi.
