T-Mac still a second round virgin unappreciation post

In his defense though, only once of twice was his team expected to make it out the first round.

Oh well, when is his contract up? He can always go to the Spurs.

don't even mess around like that.
McGrady + Dwight Howard

. That would be amazing. T-mac can pass well and lobs up to DHoward would be just crazy. They would both have a double-double eachgame

next yr, only lakers and spurs are arguably better if houston stays healthy. just needs to stay healthy that's all.

they took a jazz team with 40% of the starting lineup out for 3 games and houston's best player is battling 2 major injuries.

IF this team stays healthy (like i said IF), no doubt tmac would have advanced this yr. so IF they stay healthy next yr, they should get the #1 seed and move on. BIG IF though
knowing tmac's luck it will prolly be his turn to be out for the season next year...

I use to be a tmac fan... had all his shoes... he just doesnt seem to care anymore... hes getting like his cousin vc... but maybe winning isnt evrything tosome people? If tmac doesnt feel sorry for himself then his fans shouldnt either...

who?

let's see the teams remaining

lakers: kobe has 2 extremely good players in gasol and odom with tons of shooter

spurs: 3 all-stars

hornets: 2 all-stars, plus one of the best shooters (17ppg scorer) and good defensive big man

jazz: 2 all-stars + crazy depth

east:

celts: nuff said

pistons: nuff said

cavs: this is the only team but he's playing in the east

hawks: actually have more overall talent with joe, josh, childress, marvin... lots of young talent

so i'm curious as to which team and player you were thinking of that is winning with a bunch of scrubs?

Why on Gods green earth with the talent he gave him, he didn't play like he did tonight any other games?

That to me is clearly why he's a 2nd round virgin. You do what you do and make your team follow suit especially if you getting beat.

b/c it's a team game. he still put up 24, 8, 7 before this game so he was still doing his thing. the game is just not about scoring. you need yourteammates to win. you saw how he can score 25-27 pts and his team won the other 2 games? the one game he exploded, they lose?

it's all about balance and tmac has understood that after all these losses. he never really took over until the game was out of hand. he was forced totake over. if the game was like around 5-7 pts, i doubt tmac would done what he did in the 2nd quarter.

Where do you get the idea that T-Mac doesn't care?

I feel bad for T-Mac... he has never been on a balanced team. Houston's management needs to surround him with better players or else this team isn'tdoing anything next season.

He need to go with Nike. Adidas sucks and probably hindered his games and his lower back.

after watching tonight's game, he doesn't seem to care? dude's team was down 19. any other player would have given up (the nuggets).

It's like somebody said in the game thread.

It's basically like how the Lakers team were the past couple of years.

Kobe would light it up, but they'd still lose. Or he'd try to get everybody involved, and they couldn't do anything.

Like tonight. He went off, but nobody else showed up.

Plus without Yao, Sloan was smart. He threw 4 guys at him the whole series. AK, Harpring, Brewer and Korver.

Jazz were just the better team.
problem with that comment is that the lakers were one of the WORST defensive teams in the nba when Kobe was doing that. This Rocket team is in the top3 in defense.... They keep the game close for him to take over and he never does.... This is the ONLY game in the series that the rockets did not have a chanceto win in the end..... If he were to score 40 in atleast two of the first 4 games, the rockets would have won this series...

if Nike gets him and gives him a sig shoe (which idoubt), i'll buy all the colorways..

too bad he's got a lifetime contract with adidas.

He just cant wear a team down by himself like Lebron or Kobe.

Lebron physically with brute and Kobe with stamina and will.

He gets worn down before his opponents both physically and mentally, and that really trickles down to his teammates.

notice when he scores 40, their defense sucks??

when your teammates aren't as involved or not doing well offensively, they don't hustle on defense as well as when they are involved.

kobe rarely passed the ball the past few yrs and you saw the defensive effort. although the lakers aren't great defensively, but you see vujacic justgetting on people's nerves, gasol at least "trying"...

i feel bad for him... i don't like his interview though of feeling sorry for himself. I'd rather have him get pissed or something, lol! but i guessthat's his character. That comment of him going to the Spurs would be dope though!

Because if he cared he would have been more agressive in this series offensively. You are supposed to be the superstar. Score more.... There weretimes in this series where he was just making dumb passes. I mean flat out stupid passes. It look like he was just trying to get triple doubles. This team isone of the best on the defensive end. They need scoring not passing on open lay ups and open looks .....

Yes, because being a one-dimensional scorer is the way to win in the playoffs. IMO, T-Mac did just fine. He just didn't have the supporting cast toadvance. Utah is also no slouch. They're a legit team that could give the Spurs/Lakers/New Orleans fits. Give Utah their credit, they're a really goodteam with an outstanding coach. Houston really doesn't have an established 2nd option ever since Yao went down. You have LeBron advancing all the way tothe Finals last year and Iverson back in 2001, but how often does that really happen? Not a lot. For the most part, you need a some balance scoringoffensively.

^^Yes, seriously. Have you never heard that before? Have you never played ball and had people slouch on defense when not involved on offense? It's not thatoutlandish, i've never heard anyone say otherwise.

i'm never giving up on mac. my fav player 9 years strong and i do believe that next year will be a better year.

he will def get out of the first round before his career is up
if he doesnt get out with H town hell jump on a title contender where he isnt the leading man...

I was comparing LeBron's ability to carry his team past the Pistons last year, and T-Mac's inability to do so when his team was up 3-1.

Being in the west, he's had chances, but like I said, no one really expected his team to win.

Definitely unappreciated. He dropped 40 and 10 tonight and they still lost by 20

Hopefully they make it out next year
