This must be a generational thing...
I really don't have " texting" game and I admire dudes that have it...
I barely even text wifey, something about hearing a women's voice and the excitement they feel when you call them is such a turn on... I think sometimes a text comes through one way then actually saying what's on your mind...
80's babies like myself had to learn the art of conversation, now ****** get yambs simply off an emoji,lol
Times have changed, I ain't eem mad though

I wish yambs didn't rely on texts. "Oh he didn't text me at all today" "He has to hit me up first" etc. B this gets boring after a while, im 17 and I wish we didn't exist around this texting generalization. I actually enjoy engaging in face to face situations, especially since that's definitely not the norm anymore in the high school setting.

Well with the emergence of online dating it kind of goes from messaging online > getting the # > texting for a day or two + setting up a casual date/meet up.

I think it's gonna vary a little bit depending on where/how you met the girl, girls I've short-term dated back in college talking on the phone was typical since we saw each other in class regularly

with online girls you're probably not gonna talk over the phone until you actually either start dating/smashing.

In general tho texting is great for non-urgent/important matters, like asking how her day is going, directions, etc.

phone convo is something I only do for a girl I'm dating/very interested in.

But to have full on conversations and flirting, **** just seems meh to me... My girl does this sometimes and it irks me...I mean we had pagers growing up and texting on that was funny but it just seems people just lost the art of really communicating and getting to know each other and perfecting their mouth piece, because all we had was a telephone to run game back in the day and was simply that...

I'm the same age as you (maybe a year or two older) and I fully remember this and agree with you.
but.
having text game is decently important these days. all the chicks our age are working women these days, and you need to keep up with them while they're working. you can flirt, run that trying to get yamb game through text.
one of the chicks i dated was all about texting and she was 2 years older than me.
I hated it, but she would send freaky stuff through text.
ofcourse I'd reciprocate. and she'd be mad turned on by the time I got to her house, so there are no words just action.
then after the action there was still face to face chats.

but talking / mouth piece game will still always be the most important.

one of the current girls im talking to I was first introduced to through text. and every question I asked, she turned it around with ... answer then the "and you?"
so I thought to myself this may not be good .
but when we met face to face the other day, my mouth game was great and kept her intrigued, which in terms kept her free talking. date went from supposing to be maybe an hour to 3 hours.

That is the importance of mouth game fellas, most girls only react. they don't initiate until comfortable. they can only get comfortable from you talking to them.
