Yeah Boston aint metal but every now and then we tend to post non-metal music in here. Sometime I jam out to softer stuff just to melow the music out a bit(Journey). Boston is awesome though. The other day I was jamming out to Blue Oyster Cult its also not metal buts its good classic rock. Heck I can go on forhours but its all good. Somedays I listen to harder stuff but to each its own.

another vinyl pick up for me, scored this 2 lp picture disc for $7.99 @ hot topic, obviously mispriced since it usually goes for around $20 but they honoredthe price tag.

i got 2 technics 1200's, if you plan on getting a turntable stay away from usb turntables they're garbage. and make sure its a direct drive and not abelt drive turntable.

^i bet its expensive though. i guess ill hold off for a year or so and maybe pick up another guitar instead. (im so broke nowadays i so prolly wont buyanything at all

well technics will cost you more, i got lucky and got a deal on them at a yard sale. but you can easily find a turntable anywhere from $50-200, especiallysince your probably getting one strictly for listening purposes, just look around (swap meets, pawn shops...etc). and like i said before i prefer direct drivebut that doesnt meant belt drive sucks. but if you ever do get one definitely get one with a built in pre amp.

i dont hate nu metal but i dont listen to it all that much. actually, i hardly listen to it at all. im with jules, i dont like putting bands into sub genresbecause it gets confusing and tiresome. however i do prefer some styles over others
im not one to bash what others listen to because those who do usually come off as annoying elitists. unless they listen to like nickelback or something

Priest kicked serious *** but the crowd was dead and since my tickets weren't that good a lot of the people were kind of just standing and sitting down. Icouldn't believe it but then again Whitesnake opened up for them so a lot of people my moms age were there. They looked at me crazy because I was the onlyone in my section screaming and headbanging. But they never dissapoint. Rob Halfords Vocals are amazing I couldn't believe how well he did on Victim ofChanges. The Shirts were pretty cool I got one of the British Steel Album cover I'll see if I post pics of it later I couldn't sneak in a camerabecause the venue they were playing at is rediculously strict and they wand you. Are you going to check them out Rust? I heard they are going to SanDiego.Anyway as for the certain groups mentioned being Metal. They are metal. Like Jules I'm not sold on the sub genre thing to me its all metal. I'm not in to the supposed Nu-Metal but some of its ok. I'm not one to bash either but I start when a young 17 year old kid tells me that Slipknot isthe best heavy metal group of all time.

^^Nice bro. You're lucky you get to see Priest. I know theyre getting up there in age so its only a matter of time before they stop touring. And I wouldsee them in SD, but i'll be on the east coast at the time.
I also hate doing sub genres, it gets too confusing and to be completely honest I could care less whats sludge metal, black metal, prog metal, etc. You justsound like a dousche.

What I do is go to the corner where it has your sn and I click on that usually on that page it has what your recent posts are. I usually look until I find theTeam Metal Heads and I click on it and it takes me to what I last posted on the Metalhead thread. It mainly works if you don't post a lot.
