Once again, I've never seen a thread on NT with "Is Andrew Luck Top 5 all time?" in the title, but eh, it's whatever. Folks are silly as hell.

What's next? Can we bring some baseball players in?

What all time great superstar with at least 5 years in the league hasn't made the conference finals in this era besides Paul? He's the ONLY one. The young gun PGs have even been as far as him except Irving and Lowry.

when it's andrew luck it's okay to acknowledge he doesn't have an offensive and run game. he needs more help. it's okay to bash russell wilson because he has those things and a better defense.

Chris Paul has never played with the greatest PF of all-time. Tony Parker would likely have minimal hardware or even deep, deep playoff runs to show for his career if he had been in New Orleans and LA instead of Paul.

It's all situational. Yes, TP has elevated S.A. and was the best player on some of their Finals teams, but Paul would have been as well.

In the NFL you have 21 other starters and you can only play offense and defense

In the NBA theres only 5 guys playing at a time and you can play offense and defense

I've seen him on plenty of lists but I just don't know enough about the guy.

I rank Payton higher than others, too, but that's because he was probably my fav. player to watch growing up.

But just to play devil's advocate: I'm assuming Stockton makes your cut because he made the Finals but going back to your accolades point, he finished no higher than 8th in any year of MVP voting. So if CP3 just made it to the Finals once, got swept, he would make your top 3? Just trying to understand your train of thought.

Depends on how long he plays at his current level. Could definitely see him passing Stockton in my top 3 in a few years, especially if he gets over the hump.

Stockton played at his level for a looooooooooooong time. I respect that.

Nice list - only observation is that Oscar only won when he was paired w/ Kareem, the #1 scorer of all time. The years prior to that, Oscar either missed the playoffs or was eliminated in the 1st round.
