Tony Parker has never been the best player on a Spurs finals team. He had a great finals in 07, but that was all Timmy's team. Hell Timmy averaged 21 & 10 that finals and was the defensive anchor.

I'd argue that the year he played his best, was 13....with the whole meltdown and ray Allen shot, but even then a case could be made for that being Timmy's team. Don't get Pop not throwing it to Timmy every possession as him giving up the reigns as the best player on the team.

Y'all see what Duncan is doing now? 39 year old that could win the Defeinsive player of the year and still averaging 16 & 10. Ridiculous.

TP was in gawd mode in the 2013 playoffs. He was the leading scorer and his PER was 21.5. Spurs probably don't make it to the Finals in 2013 if Parker did not dominate the first 3 series. Ironically, the NBA Finals is where he went into a slump and the Spurs lost. That just so happen to be the Finals where Timmy blew a crucial layup. You can argue that he wasn't their best player last season, but he definitely was in 2013 when they went to the Finals.

But, maybe you meant on a Spurs Finals team that actually won the championship. If so, then yea you're right :lol

Tim Duncan is still the best player on the team right now. He was last year also. Its honestly never been a question to me, hes been the best player on this team every year except maybe one or two (that I wouldnt be mad if people picked but I personally would still argue against). Dude is the GOAT

Do you think he was the best player in the playoffs the year you guys lost to Miami in 7? All I can remember was Tony Parker picking my team apart in the WCF after doing the same thing to Golden State and the Lakers. :lol

He clearly got past the 1st round with the Royals
I used the phrase 'the years prior' which most educated people understand. But go ahead and keep laughing. I'll spell it out for you:

"Mister Friendly was a hater in the years prior to his retirement." I'm saying you were a hater in the immediate years prior to your retirement, not when you were a teen.

Why do I even try, lol.

In the playoffs? Yeah, dude was doing it all for us during the first three series. If he didnt get hobbled with the hamstring during the Finals I think that series ends differently but I wont take anything away from Miami.

Jordan
Kareem
Duncan
Kobe
Shaq
Bron
Bird
Hakeem
Magic

Err, something like that :lol
List look damn near identical to mine

You don't even have yourself in the Top 10?

Humility game strong.

I was legit excited about someone in the NBA getting this kid out of Greece back before that draft.

Was more raw than an uncooked oyster, but damn the potential is there for something awesome. :hat

Ceiling is higher than Wiggins', IMO.

The sentence after I said he didn't win until he was paired w/ Kareem. Instead of fighting the English language why not talk about that point?

:lol

Oh gosh dude

Yes Oscar Robertson won a championship with Kareem, he made it to the Conference Finals 2 times without him, where he lost to Bill F***** Russell and the Celtics

What else you want me to say about it?

Just want you to acknowledge the main point. Oscar was putting up videogame #s but didn't win until he was paired w/ the #1 scorer of all time.

I did learn that back then the 2nd round = conference finals so thanks for that. Carry on.

He lost to the eventual champion who were the middle of a dynasty with arguably the greatest player of all time in his prime

He wasn't losing to the Grizzles or a like equivalent

But this logic doesn't work for CP who's been loosing to OKC, San Antonio, Memphis, LAL, etc. right?

That's Kobe, That's Duncan, That's Durant, That's Westbrook,

Did any of those teams win a championship in the year they beat the Clippers?

What I don't get is, the bashing on advanced statistics when people who weren't even alive when Oscar was playing are putting him in their top 3. On what basis are you ranking Oscar in your top 3, 10, etc if you never saw them play. Unless Chester is 60 years old and I didn't get a memo.

@Mister how many  teams were in the NBA back then? More teams, harder to win right? Or we're going to avoid things like that too.....oh.
