idiot, why is Durant passing?:{

More KOBE.

Since people bring up Kobe so much, this isn't about when Kobe holds the ball for 20 seconds and jacks up a bad shot, it's not about when he shoots over the double team rather than passing to the open man.

It's the few times a game where a play breaks down and the ball gets passed to Kobe with 4 seconds left and he has to put up a shot. I would rather kobe be the one that takes the low % shot than any of his teammates just like I would rather have kd shoot that contested 30 footer rather than passing it to Westbrook for him to shoot it.

There is no way anyone can say holding onto the ball at half court (as kd has admitted to do) is better for the team than taking that half court shot

It's basic opportunity cost, taking these shots have a small chance to help the team over not taking the shot. Not taking the shot only keeps the fg% up

There is no number of shots kd should be taking a game, I get people tend to only care about numbers on a computer screen but it's about the kinds of shots that kd isn't taking which would benefit the team if he did take them. At the end of the day he's still a great scorer

I would love to read a counter argument that actually attempts to tackle the subject we are talking about rather than a "you like Kobe" lazy cop out answer

This discussion gon be good :hat

Duncan and Shaq aint have an era I guess

Longevity. Like Mike, Magic and Bird. Shaq and Duncan were great for 6-7 years tops. They weren't asked to be the guy anymore halfway through. Kobe was legit a top 3-5 player for the entire decade.

I'd say 2011 was where the Bron era truly took off but he's on chill mode for the rest of his career.

Dude there is no counter arguemnt you you aren't living in reality, Durant takes and makes tough shots all the time, ALL THE TIME.

I refere to numbers so that I can break you from this Kobe trance you are stuck in and join us i the real world where durant is one of the best shot makers in the league.

look at 82games.com durant iss always top 5, often 1 or 2 in FGA in crunch time. (5 mins or less in a close game)

never mind the fract that the moments you are refering to are so few and far between obsessing over them like they make the difference between winning and losing is ridiculous and irrational.

there are more important things for the thunder to worry about.

oh oh a semantic argument over a completely arbitrary and subjective term like "era".

that's my cue to leave.
