Anyone have names of who said the Warriors weren't contenders? I need to know :lol

Hawks running roughshed on the Clips

Clips bout to blow it up this summer? Crawford and Jordan will be free agents

Alvin Gentry was the real MVP. He leaves LAC and they go to complete doo doo. Goes to the Dybs and they've turned into the world beater Clippers from last year.

I guess Mark Jackson "could have" revamped his offensive system out of nowhere to make it more similar to what Kerr is running, after showing no evidence that he was willing to do so.
Think it has more to do with Gentry but ok, you're right. It's not like we haven't seen coaches evolve and change things he'd only been there 3 years.
Based on what exactly, a hunch? Because watching the Warriors last year and this year, there's a clear difference.

Horford and Millsap are two damn good forwards on paper

Teague's ascension IMO is key, with Korver's defensive nutcracker ability

On paper they aren't even that bad so it's not that surprising, especially in the east

And it definitely doesn't help the Clippers when Chris Paul looks like just another above average PG, which is what happened tonight.

Not saying there isn't a difference. I for one don't believe it can just be attributed to Steve Kerr being a savant. Alvin Gentry had been behind some of the better offenses in the league recently including the Suns and Clips last year on Doc's staff. The seem top be a lot of Dantoni Elena to this new and improved offense. And some of that has to be attributed to the growth of Curry, Klay, Green, etc. It's not just the offense. I just don't like the way the whole getting Mark outta there because he wasn't one of the good ol boys went down. Especially when all the players were still behind him.

He definitely got them playing better defense and instilled those principles into some of these same guys but didn't hear this overwhelming praise for him after taking that doormat franchise to respectability pretty quick as Steph and co were still growing.

And I'm not going all in on this team either. Anything less than a WCF appearance would be a failure if you guys bombastic statements and proclamations about them are anywhere close to being true.
