Don't know much about Hoiberg but he reminds me of the last guy the Bulls hired after they ran off a good coach...Tim Floyd. We all know how that story ended.

They have no similarities other than being Iowa State head coaches. Floyd inherited a sorry roster that was rebuilding while Hoiberg has a 50 win team with some decent talent. I don't expect Hoiberg to be as successful as Tom though.

this looks good

is Gasol really gonna be looking for a new spot?

Have no idea what his loyalty to the Grizz is like but he'd be a huge pick up for ATL bump horford to the 4 where he should be anyway

I personally think ATL is a longshot but outside of the Spurs i can't see a better fir from a personnel standpoint.. If he really wants a ring tho, Memphis isn't the place.. Their capped out, Z-bo is gonna start to decline from this point on and none of their younger talent really look like they are gonna make a huge leap.

I think both L.A & Gasol better take a serious look at making a move during FA

Yea I feel you neither one is getting any younger

@Jared_Wade: Mike Budenholzer, hired almost exactly two years ago, is the 9th longest-tenured coach in the NBA. This league is insane.

I think I heard something where in Europe the average duration of a soccer coach is 18 months.

Either way, team's need to do a better job hiring coaches to maintain continuity.

The Hawks will have around 22-24 Million in cap.. With Milsap & Carroll off the books... I i' them i'm Throwing Every Dollar i have at Gasol and then trying to get Carroll back after.. They would basically become a better version of the Grizzlies except their in the East.. meaning a big chance at the NBA finals

Teague
Korver
Carroll
Horford
Gasol

Sefolasha
German Rondo
Bazemore

a team that can actually be a threat to win the east.

sounds goo but they desperately need a wing who can get his own shot. Cavs beat themm cus:
Bron
Jr
Kyrie can get their own shots.

Hawks Teague... Carrol?.....

Damn didn't know IGGY canceled her tour because she wasn't selling tickets :lol

Nick Young lost man. But he makes 6 mill a year and still gets to smash IGGY from the back so who am I to judge

True to an extent but Marc Gasol can def get his own shot and he's also a good creator for others... Also i think Schroder would be able to grow into one of those guys..

Also having Horford go up against Pf would also help them offensively because he would actually have an advantage on some rather then having to play against 7 footers nightly.

does anyone know if julius randle and jabari parker will both be eligible to compete for rookie of the year in 2015-16?.... along with joel embiid cause if so next season rookie race is gonna be as good as we've seen in the last 20 years since grant hill/jason kidd season....

definitely not Parker, probably not Randle since he played like 14 mins

Embiid will be eligible

i thought there was an amount of games you had to play to be considered 1st season? i know randle will be considered a rookie next season after research....i guess what im tryna figure out is the total amount of games you have to play to be considered a rookie or soph?

Randle will not be considered a Rookie

why is that? cause he did he didnt complete one reg season game?
Once u play 1 min in the NBA your rookie year starts...Look at it like this if he played 14 mins Game 1 and was trash and they sent him to the D-Leauge for the whole season, Would he considered a Rookie still? He already made his NBA debut PLAYED 14 MINS Scored 2 points so the answer is NO

Wow...

Didn't Marion have a pretty big contract as well around that time?  That's interesting.
He may have also been paid more. Don't know exactly. But I know for sure he has never been the highest paid on the team. And next season bosh is gonna make 20+. Dragic could possibly be making 20+ and looking forward Whiteside might force a big contract.

Him, Lebron and Bosh basically made the same salary the first couple of seasons of the Heatles

Also he took the salary sacrifice to team up
