First time Banner grew into Hulk, he didn't seem to have any control of it. He was attacking his teammates (well, the good guys, not a team yet). However, during the city scene, we saw that Banner had at least some control of Hulk. Yet still, punching Thor
laugh.gif
. Anyway, is that some inconsistency in the writing that couldn't be avoided or true to the comics?

Its more like he had an outlet to focus his anger IMO.  Throughout the comics though the Hulk has been pretty inconsistent.  He is obviously a hero, and has allied himself with the Avengers throughout their history, but he has also been deemed unsafe for the Earth and been sent into outer space.  So yeah it is pretty inconsistent, but it is also true to the comics (if that makes any sense)

I haven't read any of this thread yet... But I just wanted to say that this +**@ was off the %$$#%! chain! Movie was piff, crack, whatever superlative you want to use.

Well, he was really riled up against them when he turned the first time while he shared his "secret" and was in complete control the second time

Yeah, i think it goes back to the end of the hulk movie when ed norton is meditating and he seems to control it....on the ship/plane the explosion startled him and he was kind of caught off guard (like when somebody scares you ) and he was just pissed in general and took it out on black wido, then later on he reveals his secret that he's always angry but can control it when he's not startled and can harness it to "make himself go into Hulk mode" but he is in the right mindset and knows who's evil and good...hulk is a boss in this movie

There were some inconsistancies with this movie.....but with the Hulk doing a 180 and instead of attacking everyone, joined the civilians, maybe it was because he later on figured that the avengers group was actually for good?

Saw it earlier today after class and wow, this movie was really good. I enjoyed it from beginning to the end. I like how they added some laughs here and there. Everyone did a really good job with their character. I didn't really know how I would feel about Hulk, just because they kept changing the actor, but the current actor did a pretty good job. This is a must see for anyone that's a fan or a casual fan.

I'm pretty sure that Loki was able to gain some measure of control over Hulk somehow.  I have to watch the movie again.  But the biggest clue was when Banner picked up Loki's weapon and he didn't even realize it until somebody pointed it out.
