The Bicycle Thread

I don't mean to go down a rabbit hole, but any recommendations for a good helmet? I just bought a nice cruiser, and mainly going to be riding in parks.

Finally put my new Aeolus Pro 5 wheels with Conti GP5000 28s tires and I can’t wait to try them out. I get home and it’s pouring rain outside 🙄

^ Do you keep the wheels on the ground when you're not riding? I know it seems like a stupid question, and most people keep their bike on the ground, but if you can keep the wheels off the ground, you're far less likely to lose pressure. That's way I just got the bike rack I posted a few days ago, so my bikes can finally suspend.

I wonder if there's any rack out there where i can mount my bike vertically, i have no space to do it horizontally

Loud hubs have been my savior.

The drivetrains on track bikes be loud AF

Does anyone else run lights during daytime rides? I run my Bontrager front and rear lights to give drivers every opportunity not to hit me.

No, but a co worker did mention to me about running them in the daytime no matter what

I just took a ride with the new wheels and when I stop pedaling it sounds like a swarm of angry bees. It’s so loud. It’s good because ppl get out of the way but I didn’t think upgrading wheels would have a hub so loud.

I went full Italian and for a Kask Mojito helmet. The strap is oddly nice with it being leather and it is a MIPS helmet too. Highly recommended but the helmet is about $100 depending if you can get a deal. Heard though there should be a new Mojito helmet coming out so could even be cheaper in the long run.
