Yeah, that's what they said on the show. They talked about what happened to lamplighter in the 1st episode right? Can't remember what happened to him.
Ok, just googled and it said he retired.
U meant to post this in the political thread I assume???Everyone needs to cast a weary eye on these Democrats who talk about national "service" especially in regards to making that service a condition of receiving basic protects of Social Democracy.
If your solution to the crises of late capitalism is to draft (either de jure or de fact with dramatic carrot and stick inducements) and enclose the labor of young adults, you are taking us down a road to fascism. This is especially true when they talk about how this mass mobilization will allow us to "rediscover" a lost sense of "common purpose."
I know that some will say that this service would be civilian in character. It would be initially but it still reinvigorates the sinews of a massive draft. When it's 2050 and a desperate host of three million people from Latin America are fleeing certain death and they threaten capitalist owned oil fields in Texas and New Mexico, there will be millions of people in the national "service" ready to act. Furthermore, putting healthcare and access to education behind a gate that requires "service" is still fascist, especially in a degrading economic and ecological environment. This aids in the conservative desire to arbitrarily divide humanity into categories of worth and unworthy.
Donald Trump and the GOP announce their fascism with a bullhorn but politicians like Seth Moulton and John DeLaney are far more quite, far more insidious and perhaps, far more dangerous.
The left has been telling moderates "socialism or barbarism" with the assumption that Republicans represent barbarism and that barbarism must be avoided. Turns out that some moderate Democrats saw the choice between socialism and barbarism and they choose the latter.
They'd rather go full Starship Troopers before they support universal healthcare. Good to know.

Just finished. Not sure I liked the changes they've made regarding Billy's wife.
True. I'll see where they take the storyline. I hope the direction they take justifies Butcher's feelings about Supes because what happened in the comics is a pretty damn solid motivation.Even though I'm completely new to the series (I'll be reading the comics soon), I view it like the MCU, different continuity like the Ultimate Universe or the many universes in DC. I'm going to sit back for the cliffhanging ride.
Show was definitely a pleasant surprise. I was hooked immediately. It’s the first Amazon original I’ve watched.
Might give Jack Ryan a try.
It's not fair to the actor, but I've watched The Office so many times, it's hard for me not to see Jim Halpert with shooting guns with a six-pack. I gotta give the guy a chance though.
@a blinkinNetflix is ****ed when Disney+ comes out and take all their **** with em.
Netflix needs to hire new people to figure out what original content to greenlight.
What’s ms masiel aboutNetflix and Amazon are the complete opposite. Netflix went quantity over quality. Amazon visa versa. And they both planned this strategically. Ms. Masiel wins awards off their first season and some people barely hear of it.
Netflix throws shows out and **** it hits a bullseye. Orange is black used to carry but now has diminished as well as a general consensus of Netflix. I don’t know if Stranger Things has won anything but the Crown has
Amazon’s new series “The Boys” takes a hard R-rated look at comic book superheroes, but not every NSFW moment was able to fly under the streaming giant’s radar. During a recent Reddit AMA (via The Wrap), “The Boys” co-creator Erik Kripke said that Amazon cut one scene from the show that depicted one of the characters, Anthony Starr’s Homelander, pulling down his pants and masturbating over New York City.
