If you're more efficient w/ the mid-range by a good margin though, it makes more sense. This late revolution of chuckers have made it seem like you always have to take the 3 since 3 > 2, but barely any of these dudes can be great at it like the Steph Curry's and Trae Young's they idolize. Like you said, these are college kids...most of them don't even have the type of shooting to see the NBA, so why be so inefficient with it? Help your game and help your team by taking it inside the arc. It's a game of percentages at that point and you're going to score more points by taking the easier shot. Sports is cyclical, if the trend isn't working, you can buck it by either finding something new or going back to what's worked over and over before.
