Mid range jumper is the worst shot in basketball. Unless you’re named demarr derozan

This ain’t 2001 man.
Everybody defending hard out at the 3 point line now so pump fake and step forward to take a mid range jump shot sometimes... I'm not saying completely abandon shooting threes... The Rockets probably would have beat the Warriors last season in the playoffs but they kept chucking threes

If you're more efficient w/ the mid-range by a good margin though, it makes more sense. This late revolution of chuckers have made it seem like you always have to take the 3 since 3 > 2, but barely any of these dudes can be great at it like the Steph Curry's and Trae Young's they idolize. Like you said, these are college kids...most of them don't even have the type of shooting to see the NBA, so why be so inefficient with it? Help your game and help your team by taking it inside the arc. It's a game of percentages at that point and you're going to score more points by taking the easier shot. Sports is cyclical, if the trend isn't working, you can buck it by either finding something new or going back to what's worked over and over before.

I love Michigan but was happy to see TTU win... They are fun to watch... Owens is a guy I can root for when he is playing...

Purdue has to make adjustments and put in a bigger lineup. Salt and Diakite are killing them on the boards and inside.

Painter definitely gotta counter that ultra-big lineup Bennett threw out there with success. Too much of an advantage on the boards, creating second-chance points. Salt outchea lookin’ like Eric Dier.
