That Michigan St / Rocket Mortgage announcement is insanity. This is where we are now at and schools will feel free to all do the same thing. Buckle up.

These P5 schools keep running these program as a business, and that's fine obviously in many ways. But for state schools that are supposedly non-profit institutions, it's amazing how much money they keep spending and spending while then having to make that up with selling their souls. Then repeat. God forbid they instead say "what excess can we remove?" that doesn't include cutting sports. They can't do that, so the coaches keep getting their contracts torn up, raises are handed out like it's going out of style, insane buy-outs are paid for every fired coach, and the "club" keeps reaping the benefits. And we know who that club is.....and who isn't.

Tom Izzo will soon have the air he breathes sponsored by Flo from Progressive so he can tack on another 500k bump in his salary.

So with COVID issues keeping teams out for at least a week or 2 so far this season, what’s up with UVA in the tourney? It starts next week right, they gon change the protocol for em?

I wonder what was said

Whatever Juwan said initially def pissed off Turge and then whatever he said subsequently sent Juwan off:rofl:

The NCAA might be one of the dumbest organizations of all time. Why they felt the need to play these worthless conference tournaments is beyond me. Should have finished the regular season, drawn up your field and sent every team to Indy. They had better hope this doesn’t continue or they are going to miss the tourney for the second straight year.

It would be an accomplishment if they can make it thru the 1st weekend ...Once again how are these tourney teams supposed to play next week if they already got cases and all that?

You know why , it’s all $$$$

Yea, the conference tournament is basically a super spreader event. How they’re going to prevent the spread in Indy is going to be interesting as well

You could cancel the conference tournaments and still have this same problem 🤷‍♂️

IMO, they should minimize risk of cancelation and make priorities. Do you want to try and play the actual NCAA tourney or make sure that the KSU vs ISU Big 12 play in game gets played.

Perhaps this is just being over exaggerated because this is only two teams out of 64 but this also feels like the NCAA is playing with fire right now.
