People never discuss the actual case that sent him to prison (Andrea Constand). They conflate all of the accusations to paint one broad picture.

I don't know whether he raped HER or not. I do know that she continued to "see" him afterwards and even introduced him to her parents 8 months after the iniital alleged crime. Regardless of what side of the fence anyone stands on, I think most would agree that's a bit sketchy on the surface.

However, Remy isn't intelligent enough to take the side she took on this particular subject.

I don't like this game changer topic, it's kinda hard to label that without other things factoring in. I don't think Jay is a game changer though but you can't say that cause he been one of the biggest rappers for the last 20 years. Mal was mad when they said Jay followed a lot of ****.

Mal definitely biased when it comes to Jay, but the criteria needs to be made much more clear. If we’re talking about changing the sound that’s one thing, but Jay is undeniable if we want to discuss completely flipping the business of the game. Other artists did it that way before him, but Jay has ascended past them all to create true generational wealth from Hip Hop.

Again, he isn’t the first one (Puff) but you have to acknowledge how he’s managed to pass Puff (he did pass Puff right or am I buggin’?)

Being married to Beyoncé definitely helps.

I don't think Jay was a game changer for any of that, he wasn't the first or the biggest. When it comes to business, I think of Puff and Master P. They did it first and we don't know where Jay would be without Jay right now. It's not to discredit Jay but he was more of a follower than a trend setter to me.

I was completely lost as far as how they're talking game changers and somehow Jay isn't mentioned. They Named Wayne w/o acknowledging that Wayne during his prime had heavy Jay influence. Rocafella influenced an entire generation of rappers, the clothing, business etc etc.

All these rappers themselves talk about how Jay influenced them in music and business. If he ain't a "game changer" nobody is. Master P and Puff wasn't the first either. If we go by that logic then we would only give credit to Russell, J Prince, Eazy, and Tony Draper.

I personally feel like Jay influence has always been kinda overstated.

I do think he changed what a rap artist could be ceiling wise as far business etc tho. Drake not hitting the level he's at if Jay doesn't come thru first.
